Exceptional Trilobite Optics

Image
There's a heap of fossilized trilobites. I'd like to be under the sea in a submersible vehicle, seeing if an octopus' garden contains any living fossil trilobites. Wouldn't that be great? Well, the coelacanth was considered extinct, but it was found doing mighty fine. Maybe trilobites exist way down there and don't want to be seen, did you ever think about that? Trilobite, US Department of the Interior, Bureau of Land Management Although fossilized, scientists have been able to determine the composition and function of their eyes. They had multiple lenses in each eye, so they had excellent vision under the sea. In fact, they could see things in three dimensions, sometimes double 3-D. Other kinds of trilobites had eyes on stalks, so they could do 3-D 360. To believe that such amazing specified eye complexity is the product of blind (heh!) chance processes in evolution, well, ya gotta wanna believe that. It makes far more sense to admit that the evidence support

Materialism's Utter Darkness

Image
Here is one of those words that some people need to clarify. When someone is spending money for the sake of obtaining possessions, sometimes to impress other people or perhaps because they have to simply own things, they can be referred to as a materialist. But this word means something else in science and metaphysics: a materialist believes that the material world is all that exists, there is no God. Evolutionary thinking, which is based on materialism, has hindered science many times. People assume that there is no God (but then arrogantly use logic, which is non-material and is a part of God's nature), then they make philosophies of science. Even though the scientific evidence and logical conclusions should tell these owlhoots that God exists and made the universe (Romans 1:18-23), secularists commence to making up a heap of tall tales to avoid the Creator. When the evidence rears up on its hind legs and shows the folly of their ways, they dream up more tall tales, pronto (

The Flap about Bird Wings in Amber

Image
Amber is rather well known as jewellery, and people can see tiny insects and things that have been trapped inside this tree sap (resin, really) before it hardened. (Then it gets assigned several million Darwin years so they can propagate the false notion that Earth is old.) The stuff is very sticky and has led to the doom of many creatures (sort of like sin does to us), and some critters are a bit large, such as the gecko pictured below. Image credit: Wikimedia Commons CC BY-SA 2.0 / PG Palmer People got mighty agitated when bird wings were found in amber. The bones of the wings were tiny, but what was there was very well preserved. These were wings with feathers — and interfered again with the dinosaur-to-bird evolution timeline. What's an evolutionist to do, especially since the journal making the report didn't see the need to bow to evolution? Some atheopaths were using the news as refutation for creation science. Not hardly! Using scientific circular reasoning and

Ark Encounter and Darwin's Deceivers

Image
by Cowboy Bob Sorensen If you study on it, you'll see that atheists, liberal "Christians", and evolutionists attack Genesis far more than any other book in the Bible. They know that Genesis is the foundation for all major Christian doctrines [ 1 ], so they seek to destroy it. You'd think that those folks would smile quietly to themselves about the st00pid fundie Xtians and go on about their business. What happens when creationists make their voices heard? Those atheists and their collaborators get burrs under their saddles. Libel, ridicule, misrepresentation, profanity, and so on ensue. Then there are protests, political pressure, lawsuits... Publicity photo courtesy of Ark Encounter As a brief aside, I've been libeled myself (and I'm nowhere near important), the latest by an alleged university professor [ 2 ], [ 3 ] claiming she was blocked on The Question Evolution Project's Facebook Page . Not hardly. She was never blocked/banned. This provide

The Ice Age and Astronomical Theory

Image
Secular scientists believe we've had several ice ages on Earth, but they do not have a satisfactory explanation, so they dream up other ideas (see " Ice Age Climate Theory Wobbles "). The discarded Milankovitch mechanism was proposed in the 1800s, but rejected. Milankovitch tweaked it, only to have it discarded again. It was dusted off in the 1970s and saddled up again. Upsala glacier photographed from the International Space Station, Image credit: NASA (Usage does not imply endorsement of site contents) Recent attempts involve using the Milankovitch method to date rocks as well as account for the Ice Age (yes, I wrote Ice Age in the singular, creationists believe there was only one). There are numerous problems with the method, but facts and difficulties are pretty much ignored by secular scientists — can't let facts get in the way of a good story, right? One of the biggest difficulties is that the precessional cycle between Earth's hemispheres is out o

Trees in the City — and Creation

Image
It's interesting how, even in the concrete jungles of big cities, elements of nature still thrive. Especially with a little help. There are trees on the outskirts of cities, the suburbs, that sort of thing — and within the cities. They break up the monotony and look nice. But they are also shown to be beneficial. Trees in Boise, Idaho. Image credit: FreeImages / Benjamin Earwicker Most of us know that plants take in our exhaled carbon dioxide, use it, and return the favor by producing oxygen. But they also give some unexpected health benefits to humans. There is no record of tree evolution, and when you add this fact to the benefits that trees provide us, I reckon you could realize that they are a gift from our caring Creator. A recent U.S. Forest Service study estimated that the trees planted along California streets provide a billion dollars’ worth of human benefit each year. And that benefit comes cheap. This analysis reveals five tree-related benefits that identify whe

Terrorism and Evolution

Image
Evolutionary thinking and social Darwinism have given us such joys as justification for abortion , radical environmentalism , forced eugenics , the "junk" DNA fiasco , a basis for communism , excuses for racism , and more. Now taking the naturalistic view to a new low, ISIS terrorists are players in the evolution game. Sidewinder scientists are using concepts of natural selection and evolution and applying them to Mohammedan terrorism. Ideology is omitted, as is religion, human nature, free will, and other factors. It's just a matter of environment. They are not created human souls in need of prayer, repentance, and salvation in Jesus Christ (how many evolutionists believe that?), but players in a game. Indeed, terrorists are almost made to sound like victims! This may be the winning candidate for worst Darwinian just-so story of the decade. You have to hand it to evolutionists; at least they are consistent. If everything evolves, then everything evolves. Makes

Evolutionism, Cults, and Irrational Thinking

Image
by Cowboy Bob Sorensen If you study on it, you may realize that atheists, cultists, anti-creationists, and others have similar thinking patterns. While much of Western society tends to have an adoration for logic, numbers , science, scientists, facts, and so forth, people are prone to "thinking" with their emotions. That is, some owlhoot comes along and sounds like he knows what he's saying, possibly using expensive words, but there is still some kind of appeal to emotions. Then people end up being deceived. Other biblical creationists and I keep trying to encourage people to learn how to think rationally so they can spot logical fallacies and manipulation. Thi s can help keep deception to a minimum . Ever notice that some people can be excellent thinkers, but when it comes to certain religious matters (and especially evolutionism), they can't think straight ? Before I continue, I want to point out that there are different kinds of common ancestry evoluti

Breaking Dollo's Evolutionary Law

Image
The word "law" seems a mite loose nowadays. Some jasper on the Internet makes an observation or declaration, and if it gets support, it's called a "law". Fine, I'll make Cowboy Bob's Law right here and now: If a biblical creationist gives evidence against evolution, some sidewinder will cry, "Liar!" Howzat? Great, put that on the master list, okay?  There are other "laws" that are more like guidelines of common observations. Mostly assembled with the Says-It badge generator Laws of science, however, are supposed to be established through observation and testing. Louis Dollo came up with the Law of Irreversibility for evolution, that an organism cannot return to its ancestral state. It turns out that this "law" is another instance of scientists making assertions when they do not have a full understanding of science, but instead, realy on faith in evolution. Dollo's declaration actually hindered science, and his

Evidence for the Genesis Flood in Australia

Image
G'day. While we have a passel of rock formations in these here United States where I live, there are many around the world that give strong evidence of the Genesis Flood. (We do seem to have the best dinosaur boneyards, though.) There's an area in the Northern Territory called Red Centre,  which has an abundance of, well, redness. The frontier town of Alice Springs can set you up if you want to do some sightseeing and as a starting point for exploring Flood geology. I'd like to go myself, you betcha. " Kings Canyon " image credit: Pixabay / walesjacqueline But this isn't advertising for 'Straya tourism. Like I said at the onset, there are many geological formation that support the Genesis Flood. Sure, uniformitarian geologists continue their old Earth assertions (evolution requires an old Earth), but much of what they say defies science and basic reasoning skills, and basically falls apart. Here is an article written from a biblical creationist poi
