Men and Women are Different by Design

Image
Culture is attempting to influence biological realities, but some things cannot be wished away. As of August 14, 2026, the WNBA cannot define what a woman is . Meanwhile, men who "identify" as women want to play in that women's league. Other people, including a Supreme Court justice, refuse to say what defines a woman. My doctor's office has a form that wants to know what gender I was assigned at birth . If they kowtow to reality-denying culture, I wonder if my medical care is in jeopardy! The differences between men and women exist and are important. Adam and Eve before the Temptation / George Frederick Watts Interesting that this gender stuff was mostly unknown for thousands of years, but has been accelerating recently. It is plain to see that men and women are wired differently. That is, we think and feel in different manners and have different internal chemistry. That remark I made about getting proper medical care because the doctor's office buys into the po...

Fundamentally Flawed Lizard Brain Human Evolution

Image
One of the problems in descent with modifications evolution is that it is pervasive, with outdated ideas still used. I occasionally see videos that make evolutionary assertions that have no basis in fact. A couple of these on psychology referred to the lizard (or reptile) brains of humans. The idea of humans having a triune brain with a lizard at the base is fundamentally flawed in several ways. One of these is lack of evidence. Another problem is that since it fit the narrative so well, evolutionists seemed to just plug it in. MacLean's Triune Brain concept, WikiComm / Lchunhori ( CC BY-SA 2.5 ), modified at PhotoFunia The three-part brain concept, underpinned by a lizard brain, was set forth by  Paul D. MacLean. He was a respected neuroscientist. His status and authority may have been part of the reason the story was easily accepted.  Also, it was firmly rooted not only in the assumption of evolution, but also strongly based on Haeckel's fraudulent embryo drawings . Fraud, ...

Pancakes and Corvids at Canyonlands National Park

Image
In southeastern Utah is a nice spread of 337,598 acres called Canyonlands National Park, hosting canyons (obviously), spires, and buttes. Conventional uniformitarian geology says that rivers carved the canyons of millions of Darwin years. Evidence is against Grand Canyon being carved by the Colorado River , and similar logic applies here. Secularists evosplain that the pancake-like layers that are seen were made by a series of deserts over vast amounts of time. However, deserts today do not act like those supposedly did in the distant unobserved past. Canyonlands National Park by Matthew Dillon at Flickr ( CC BY 2.0 ) There are thousands of canyons on this here planet Earth. Biblical creationists see a great deal of evidence not only against the conventional views, but in favor of the Genesis Flood in Grand Canyon and at Canyonlands. Were any of the other canyons made slowly? Mayhaps some, but most had to be done by a lot of water in a little bit of time, not a little bit of water...

Designed to Die?

Image
There is a mystery, a paradox, regarding death and the Bible. Originally, everything was created very good  and death is an interloper. When Adam sinned, death entered the world (Rom. 5:12). It is the last enemy and will be destroyed (1 Cor. 15:26). Death was not used in God's creative process. Yet death is beneficial in some ways. The Creator implemented a kind of cleanup crew to take care of dead things and be nourished by them. Before the Genesis Flood, some folks lived 900 years but that drastically changed . Even cells are designed to die. Skull, flowers, and butterflies, Pixabay / Ron Hoekstra After the return of Jesus, death will be done away with. Many animals are designed to have short life spans. (I saw a video where a woman had a pet jumping spider, a creature that only lives a few months.) On the other hand, some critters live an astonishing number of years. Creation theologians should be able to answer this, but this child speculates that with the fall of man and the ...

Forensics and Fossilization

Image
The common story about fossilization told by believers in universal common descent is, to be blunt, absurd even on the surface. In water, a critter dies, sinks to the bottom, gets covered by sediment, and becomes fossilized over many years. The Master Engineer made a cleanup crew that gets rid of the clutter, which includes scavengers, microorganisms, and so on. Owners of aquariums have seen that when a fish dies, it is often eaten by other fish. Scavenging and decomposition happen very quickly on land as well. Forensic toolkit and marked evidence, Pexels / cottonbro studio Television shows and movies about forensic science  have become very popular. This is the historical science where investigators use information in the present to reconstruct what may have happened in the past. Worldviews, presuppositions, evidence degradation, contamination and other things put limits on forensic science . The study of fossilization (as well as scientific views involving creation science, evol...

Original Hemoglobin in Dinosaur Bones

Image
Darwin's acolytes are unable to accept the hand they have been dealt, so they deal from the bottom of the deck, mark cards, and essentially cheat up a storm. Soft tissues in dinosaur bones have given them apoplexy, so they try to make excuses and defy logic. Some even deny the facts, such as the existence of soft tissues. (One village evolutionist made a comment on a post about C-14 in dinosaur bones , "It's rare, which suggests contamination." In other words, "Nuh UH! I make up my own truth!") Hemoglobin is also a huge problem. Haemoblobin, Wikimedia Commons / Zephyris ( CC BY-SA 3.0 ) Secularists try to evosplain with scenarios that do not fit real-world data. Also, have you ever noticed that the age of the earth has dramatically increased over the years? Papa Darwin needs deep time his wonders to perform, and conventional scientists do their best to give them to him. However, deep time works against soft tissues, C-14, hemoglobin, and other things found ...

Creation, Evolution, and Bipedalism

Image
The media for descent with modifications present their views as if evolution were all figured out, no questions asked. That is news to scientists, as they are continually trying to make the story of evolution make sense. One are of concern is how humans became bipedal.  Sure, apes are quadrupedal, but sometimes they walk upright for a short time. Uncomfortably. They got hip bones, we got hip bones. These things prove evolution. Wrong. Using maybe, perhaps , and Making Things Up™ , evolutionists think they have a genetic clue about hip bones. People walking in Almaty, Kazakhstan, Unsplash / Dmitrii Filatov For apes to walk upright, there would have had to be a change in the pelvis. Humans and apes supposedly diverged from an apelike creature in the distant past. (Nobody knows when or what that critter even looked like.) Many changes would need to happen at the same time, or nothing would work. There is no evidence of these alleged changes in the fossil record. Quite a bit of effort...

Mining Gold from "Junk" DNA

Image
There are lessons to be learned from the concept of "junk" DNA, including hubris, deep time, and bad assumptions. Fundamentally-flawed presuppositions play a big part. Believers in fish-to-fool evolution tend to assume naturalism and build from there. Big mistake. DNA just had  to keep evolving by chance and random processes over time. Scientists sequenced the human genome and found that almost none of it coded for proteins, therefore, it was useless leftovers from our supposed evolutionary past. This led to medical and scientific train wrecks. 1895 train photo at Wikimedia Commons ,  Papa Darwin's image is found all over the web, DNA image from  openclipart Notice that this junk DNA thing is related to dysteleology arguments. Essentially, "In my opinion, things are poorly designed, therefore, there is no Designer, only evolution." Spurious evoporn about the ear , eye , reproduction , and other areas are refuted by creationists and Intelligent Design proponents....

Monkeying Around with Evolution and Time

Image
For Darwin's disciples, time is a hero in their evolution stories. It has been pointed out before that evolution requires millions or billions of years to happen. Cosmologists, geologists, and others strive to "find" those years — which are constantly assumed anyway. Consider that geologists tenaciously cling to slow and gradual uniformitarianism, reluctantly admitting rapid processes occur when they are in a corner. Also, the myth that humans and chimpanzee DNA is 98%–99% similar was debunked, but pertinent information was obscured in footnotes  because the timeline was too small. Sulawesi crested macaque, Wikimedia Commons / R.Rahasia ( CC BY-SA 4.0 ), modified at PhotoFunia Obscuring the data, denying the evidence, and even lying outright are not science, old son. Those are tactics to protect the narrative. People are desperate to deny the fact that life was created, and created recently. An old attempt to make evolution plausible (which presupposes deep time) is the ...

Insect Celestial Navigation by Design

Image
The other day, I went to visit Hammond Suisse at his spread and helped with some odds and ends. Day became night. We were taking a break, looking up at the stars. That always stirs me on the inside. Canada geese were honking and flying in formation, darker areas against the night. "Do they use the stars to know where they're going?" he asked. I replied, "Sure do. The Creator gave us the sun, moon, and stars for lots of things including navigation," I replied. "We're not the only ones to take advantage of them." Male bogong moth ( Agrotis infusa ), Wikimedia Commons / Birgit E. Rhode ( CC BY 4.0 ) Down 'Straya way, researchers performed some interesting science on bogong moths. Some of these critters migrate 1,000 km (621 miles) at night. Testing revealed that they navigate by the stars. Since the world turns, so they had to adjust for that as well. It is not a learned or taught behavior, as they do not live long enough to pass along the inform...

Creation Science — Attack and Defense Structures

Image
Biblical creation science is usually rejected out of hand by misotheists and other believers in dust-to-dispatcher evolution, but they seldom examine whether or not it is internally consistent. Our view covers a great deal of ground because it involves theology as well as science. Creationists maintain that God created everything very good  and creatures were vegetarian in the beginning. What we see now is carnivory, attack and defensive mechanisms (some of which are very impressive), and parasitism. Something must have drastically changed between creation and today. Specifically, a Pacific rattlesnake, USFWS / Miguel Jimenez (PD) The origin of those things admittedly involves speculation, and we have to be consistent with both the Bible and science. (Darwin's disciples evosplain with speculation and arbitrary assertions, then pretend they are offering scientific conclusions.) Creatures need to eat, others do not want to be eaten. It is reasonable that (among other factors), the ...

Hybrid Jaybirds and the Genesis Kinds

Image
My wife was a lover of blue jays in our area, and talked to them like they were pets. I told her about their cousins the scrub jays that live out west. Very recently, I learned about green jays which live in southwest North America. Thrill jaybirds by giving them peanuts (in the shell) and hazelnuts. Although the ranges of blue and green jays are separate, a couple got romantic and a hybrid of the blue and green jay was born in Texas. Not just different species, but up one level as different genera . Blue (a), hybrid (b), green (c) jays, WikiComm / B.R. Stokes and T.H. Keitt ( CC BY 4.0 ) Jaybirds are intelligent, along with other corvids like crows, ravens, magpies, and the like. The fact that this hybridization happened brings up the concept of the biblical created kinds . Some folks believe that kind is another word for species, but that is not the case. (Conventional scientists often disagree on definitions of species.) Biblical kinds are similar to the family level in biological...

Of Elephant Trunks and Robot Arms

Image
The trunk of an elephant looks awkward, but it is a vital tool for the critter's life. When it trumpets by forcing air through the trunk, it is a form of communication as well as expressing emotion. It can be heard for a great distance. As all y'all know, biomimicry is taking a concept seen in nature and adapting it for human purposes. This was applied when imitating an elephant trunk to design a robotic arm. Interesting how secularists admire things they design, but trunks came from evolution and chance, not the Master Engineer. But I digress. Elephants using their trunks, Unsplash / Wietse Jongsma Those trunks can be used for snorkeling (yes, really), visual communication, and other things. What robotics people wanted to study was the ability to grasp and the flexibility. They had to develop a special nonmetallic material and precise controls because the 40,000 muscles the elephant uses are beyond their ken. Conventional robotic arms with their metal skeletal bars and lots of...

Tripping Robots and Human Coordination

Image
It is amazing how denizens of the secular science industry are looking to use artificial intelligence to advance evolution, yet they ignore the conflict in the theories. That is, particles-to-programmer evolution is supposedly a trial-and-error unguided process, but AI requires intelligent design. When robots work well to help us in highly repetitive or dangerous activities,  domo arigato  to them. But when they fail, it is often spectacular and possibly dangerous. Some secularists think AI robots can supplement or even replace humans. Robot tripping and falling, made at DeepAI — but I did not ask for three arms The field of biomimetics  is studying creatures in nature and attempting to apply their traits for human use. If you study on it, having robots walk, dance, and so on is an example of biomimetics. It takes intelligence and money to have them imitate or surpass some human activities. Centuries ago, I was going down some basement steps in my stocking feet. There we...

Nigeria and Social Darwinism Experiments

Image
People who have paid attention to history, and those who are curious about country name changes in Africa, may know that parts of Africa were claimed and divvied up by Europeans and the United States. British-controlled Nigeria became a kind of "see what happens" social experiment. The northern part of Nigeria was given control to a violent Islamist tribe called the Fulani. Apparently they were not really African, but lighter-skinned pillaging nomads. Those in charge were operating by Darwinian presuppositions and gave the Fulani control. It did not go well. Nigerian festival, Pexels / Darkshade Photos Social Darwinists were wrecking Northern Nigeria, and they heavily utilized the racism built into the Bearded Buddha's teachings. People were thought to be animals, were treated as such — and acted like they were. However, Christian governance further south was a different story. The area was prospering, and people were in leadership positions because of their skills, not b...

Cute Nature is Often Vicious

Image
While the Creator may very well have designed creatures to be pleasing to the eye, "cuteness" is subjective on our parts. We like when a kitty purrs, and may be surprised that some of their huge wild cousins also purr. But big and little cats are predators that hunt and kill. Aww, look at the cute chimpanzee! He is smiling! When an adult chimp is smiling, it is showing its teeth and thinking about violently ending you. That is why baby chimps are dressed up and ride tricycles, which seems to be abusive. Lion eating a zebra, Unsplash / Leon Pauleikhoff Atheists will take examples of predation, venom, and other unpleasantness in nature to say that if God exists, he made awful creatures. Meanwhile, death is a hero to evolution because the more fit take the place of the less fit. They do not want to get the full story from God's perspective. In the beginning, everything was very good. Sin entered the picture, and things went downhill quickly. As much as we love to sing about...

Proofs of Evolution are Lacking

Image
Everywhere we turn, Darwinism is assumed to be true. People even make up their own fake truths to seem all sciency and stuff. A video made an assertion about behavior being based on caveman days. The claim was unsubstantiatable, and when I called out the video maker on the false claim, a fundamentalist evolutionist railed at me that evolution is the best supported fact of science. Indeed, many people claim evolution is a proven fact — showing their ignorance of how science works. Algae pond near Hurley, NY, Unsplash / Cowboy Bob Sorensen (modified) "That's a pretty bold statement, Cowboy Bob!" No, not really. Things that have been considered scientific facts have been removed many times. What science does quite well is disprove  things. Also, there are scientists who admit that particles-to-planetologist evolution has many problems. F'rinstance, since abiogenesis (the secularist origin of life) violates the law of biogenesis and cannot be explained, evolutionists try...

Life Within the Snow

Image
It is winter in these parts, and that means cold temperatures, ice, and snow. On a snowy day, I saddled up and rode into town for some supplies. As I was in the general store, my prospector friend Stormy Waters and her friend Ruby Slippers burst through the door, brushing the snow from their jackets. We talked while they shopped. Ruby does not mind the weather, but Stormy wants it to go away and have greener things come back to life. While I feel the same as Stormy, I have become stoical about it and endure winter. Winter trees in snow, Pexels / Jeffrey Czum , modified at PhotoFunia Ancient pagan cultures celebrated the arrival of spring, which meant the return of life. Or so they thought. What those folks could not know is that there is an abundance of life in winter. Do you really want to eat snow? Yes, it is frozen water vapor, but there are living things in it! When it comes to the seasons, we often associate life with spring, not winter. Depending on where you live, winter brings ...

Neanderthals May Still Be Here

Image
An icon of minerals-to-meteorologist evolution is the Neanderthal, which was portrayed as a hulking brute. Stupid, too, since it still had some of its apelike ancestor in its nature. Some folks still believe that image and call someone a Neanderthal as an insult. As extensive documentation reveals , Neanderthals were intelligent and creative. Evolutionists were forced to admit that Neanderthals were fully human. Indeed, their DNA is found in most population groups (but is rare in sub-Saharan groups). A controversy remains: Where did they go? Image cropped and enhanced, original: Flickr /  Clemens Vasters  ( CC BY 2.0 ) Since they were fully human and freely shared their DNA , they most likely did not go extinct. Instead, they probably assimilated. We have met the Neanderthal, and he is us. Lonely Neanderthal boy sees a group of modern humans and is attracted to a woman. Next thing you know, they married up and he is a part of that clan. That's because they were created, not ev...

Birds, Bats, and the Bible

Image
It is not uncommon for Bible deniers to find excuses to justify their rebellion, but some go further and machinate alleged contradictions and absurdities. These are usually framed as "Gotcha!" statements and questions. They occasionally raise questions that some believers also want answered. One tinhorn, geology professor Ian Plimer, wrote a (now out of print) book called Telling Lies for God: Reason vs Creationism . Aside from the clear bias, he made himself a liar and CMI set the record straight . Jimmy Li has a resource refuting hundreds  of such claims . Then there are bats as birds? Flying fruit bat, Flickr /  Tambako The Jaguar  ( CC BY-ND 2.0 ) While many of the items in the above references can be attributed to superficiality, carelessness, and lack of doing some homework, others take a bit more digging. Darwin's Flying Monkeys™ on the internet exhibit an attitude like, "Haw, haw, haw! We're supposed to believe your Bible, but it says that bats are birds!...
