Question Evolution Day and Marketing Darwin

Image
Probably everyone that watches television has seen advertisements for food, but the product purchased is disappointingly different. Marketing people have techniques to make stuff look good, and they put a great deal of time and effort into creating an image that is far different from reality. Charles Darwin had a mediocre theology degree but nothing in science. He did not make a great discovery about evolution and then tell the world. Instead, he presupposed evolutionary ideas (which dated back to ancient Hindus and Greek philosophers). Then he popularized them for his era. Marketing Darwinism, made at NightCafe AI Like the food people, Charlie knew his audience and what would be accepted. He also made friends of influential people. One was Thomas Henry Huxley, who promoted Darwinism. T.H.'s grandson Julian also championed his ideas (see " Darwin Succeeded through Huxley Conspiracies "). Further, Darwin labeled his material as science and not what it really was. There ha...

The Design of Humpback Whales

Image
One aspect of science that could be considered to be fun, aside from all the hard work, is the thrill of learning new things — except when discoveries ruin evolution for the secular science industry. Whales have long been subjects of study, and new information about humpback whales has been found. The story goes that life came from non-life, things evolved in the sea, human ancestors are fish. Some critters flopped onto land and evolved to live there, but something like a bear decided life in the sea was better. That is where whales came from. Humpback whale breaching, i image credit: NOAA  (usage does not imply endorsement of site contents) The characteristics of whales show that the story of their evolution is laughable, instead showing that they were designed by the Master Engineer. For that matter, the songs of humpback whales possibly contain sophisticated language ! Recent research indicates their songs may be supplemented by those slaps on the water to help communicate. Hump...

The Ark, the Animals, and the Water

Image
As people who have read or viewed creation science material know, the Genesis Flood is extremely important. One reason is that the Flood ruins uniformitarian (old Earth) geology. Scoffers dismiss it out of hand without learning even the basics of what is involved. Creationists have pointed out that there are questions raised in bad faith to trip up biblical creationists, but there are also people who sincerely want explanations. Today we examine two. The first is how Noah rounded up all those critters. The Animals Entering Noah's Ark , Jacopo Bassano ca. 1570 Noah saddled up a Compsognathus, put a cart behind it, made a lariat, and lassoed — "Don't be facetious, Cowboy Bob!" Actually, scoffers paint a similarly absurd picture through their prejudicial conjectures. When intelligently  debating opponents, it is necessary to learn their views and look for inconsistencies and logic flaws. Genesis 6:20, 7:8-9 tells us that the animals came to Noah at the Ark; they were gui...

SETI, Signals, and Intelligent Design

Image
Many years ago, I believed that UFOs were vessels for extraterrestrials. I read in a special-interest magazine remarks from an investigator who said they wanted to rule out natural phenomena before declaring something was a UFO. Similarly, many ghost investigators take that approach. Belief in such things aside, I commend them for not jumping at every chance to declare something is paranormal. An astrophysicist recommends that SETI folks pull on the reins and holler, "Whoa!" when they detect signals. After all, it may be another breakroom microwave oven . Parkes Radio Telescope, Flickr / Amanda Slater ( CC BY-SA 2.0 ) Interesting that the secular science industry believes in unguided chance-driven evolution, denying the much more logical conclusions of intelligent design by the Creator. Biblical creationists believe God is the First Cause of life, the universe, and everything, but creationist scientists want to know  how  he created; what makes things tick. Similarly, Intelli...

Dinosaur Ridge Testifies of the Genesis Flood

Image
Out Colorado way, if you mount up and ride west of Denver and a bit north of Morrison, you can find Dinosaur Ridge. It is a part of the National Natural Landmarks program administered by the US National Park Service. National parks and monuments are owned by the government, but not NNLs. Main tracksite on Dinosaur Ridge, National Park Service (usage does not imply endorsement of site contents) It is famous for exposed sediments revealing dinosaur trackways. These are the top part of the Dinosaur Freeway, which extends southward hundreds of miles. Mainstream scientists attribute the geologic activity to rivers and beaches. Take a walk on the beach. Pay attention to the tracks your feet leave in the wet sand. Notice that the waves come in and erase the tracks. It requires special conditions to fossilize tracks, and the geology of Dinosaur Ridge and the formations involved do not support mainstream uniformitarian ideas. Instead, there are numerous facts that point to creation science Gen...

Absence of Human Fossils from the Genesis Flood

Image
Sometimes misotheists ask questions of biblical creationists in bad faith, but some Christians may sit back, watching and waiting for an answer. Sometimes people just want to know. One of these is: Where are human fossils from the global Genesis Flood? Interesting that Darwin's disciples challenge creationists, but they act like deep time and evolution are settled. The Flood left many obvious evidences, including fossils and geologic sequences that span continents, but since there are no known human fossils, creationists need to explain why not. Puzzled chimpanzee is puzzled, Pixabay (AI) / olenchic While it is reasonable to ask creationists to back up our claims with physical evidence, it's a mite disingenuous to ignore problems in evolution. Also, secularists need to be consistent. The overwhelming majority of fossils are marine organisms. Several expected types of creatures for the evolution story are poorly represented in the fossil record. Also, evolutionists have problems...

Tripping Robots and Human Coordination

Image
It is amazing how denizens of the secular science industry are looking to use artificial intelligence to advance evolution, yet they ignore the conflict in the theories. That is, particles-to-programmer evolution is supposedly a trial-and-error unguided process, but AI requires intelligent design. When robots work well to help us in highly repetitive or dangerous activities,  domo arigato  to them. But when they fail, it is often spectacular and possibly dangerous. Some secularists think AI robots can supplement or even replace humans. Robot tripping and falling, made at DeepAI — but I did not ask for three arms The field of biomimetics  is studying creatures in nature and attempting to apply their traits for human use. If you study on it, having robots walk, dance, and so on is an example of biomimetics. It takes intelligence and money to have them imitate or surpass some human activities. Centuries ago, I was going down some basement steps in my stocking feet. There we...

Psychology, Evolution, and Maybe

Image
A proponent of stardust-to-psychologist evolution makes a statement, then it gets supported by terms like  scientists think , it could be ,  maybe , and other weasel words. No evidence though. The statement is then accepted by those with atheism spectrum disorder who call it science. Psychologists speculate about the evolution of religion (ignoring the fact that atheism is itself a religion ). Some are speculating that belief in gods is a function of the brain, but an existing part of the brain had to quickly evolve a religion section. No evidence though. Replica painting from the Chauvet cave, Wikimedia Commons / HTO (PD) A psychologist thinks he has evidence for this brain phenomenon. Deep-time presuppositions are fundamental, as human religious artifacts were dated tens of thousands of years ago. Plug in the assumption of atheism as a "default" position (never mind that children are born believing in God ) and biases appear to be confirmed. The real evidence shows that we...

Oxygen Level, Altitude, and the Ark

Image
Stevia Dolce, lead baker at the Darwin Ranch near Deception Pass, is not a fan of evolution. But she needs her job and keeps mum about her doubts around the ranch hands. Yesterday, when all my troubles seemed so far away, she visited me with a question. And a cheese Danish. "Sherwood Tellit was saying that if Noah's Ark was real, it would have gone up too high and everyone would have suffocated — why are you laughing? Don't choke on the Danish!" I swallowed, took a swig of coffee, and told her why. AI-generated Noah's Ark image, Pixabay /  dlsdkcgl This is one of the "Gotcha!" arguments made by atheists and other believers in deep time. For them, it is a scientific absurdity that the Ark was raised above the highest mountain peaks. There are mountains existing today where the summits are in the "death zone" because oxygen needs to be brought along. Flood deniers tend to ignore some basic science to make their accusations. They also ignore the t...

Mainstream Geologists Partly Right on Tsunamis and Amber

Image
It is understandable for people to confuse sap with amber, as both are sticky and flow in trees. Sap is much thinner and transports nutrients within trees, while amber is found in cedar, pine, and other trees. It is much thicker and protects them from pests and damage. Several puzzlers were found in Japan regarding amber. It was found mixed with deep-water sediments, but the amber and sediments were on an island. The amber had varying thicknesses. Also found were tree trunks and other plant debris, plus other indicators of rapid deposition. Amber, Wikimedia Commons / Hannes Grobe ( CC BY-SA 2.5 ) To explain these things, uniformitarian researches speculate a cumbersome multi-step process involving several tsunamis washing debris to various points. Flood geologists from the Institute for Creation Research and others have more rational explanations. Yes, tsunamis were involved, but the Genesis Flood was extremely destructive with a great deal of water in a short time. A recent study pub...

Nigeria and Social Darwinism Experiments

Image
People who have paid attention to history, and those who are curious about country name changes in Africa, may know that parts of Africa were claimed and divvied up by Europeans and the United States. British-controlled Nigeria became a kind of "see what happens" social experiment. The northern part of Nigeria was given control to a violent Islamist tribe called the Fulani. Apparently they were not really African, but lighter-skinned pillaging nomads. Those in charge were operating by Darwinian presuppositions and gave the Fulani control. It did not go well. Nigerian festival, Pexels / Darkshade Photos Social Darwinists were wrecking Northern Nigeria, and they heavily utilized the racism built into the Bearded Buddha's teachings. People were thought to be animals, were treated as such — and acted like they were. However, Christian governance further south was a different story. The area was prospering, and people were in leadership positions because of their skills, not b...

Biofluorescence Baffles Evolutionists

Image
This is probably one of those things you may have seen, but cannot remember the five-syllable word for it. Some creatures absorb light (usually ultraviolet or blue) and then give it out again as a different color. The expensive word for this is biofluorescence . It occurs in many organisms. Researchers concluded that biofluorescence evolved independently over 100 times. That is a popular miracle and rescuing device in the secular science industry called convergent evolution . Since Darwin's disciples cannot explain how something evolved once, they obscure it with quantities. Aequorea victoria (crystal jellyfish), Wikimedia Commons / Sierra Blakely The researchers studied teleost fishes. Supposedly, they had a prairie-schooner full of evolutionary changes for biofluorescence. The empirical evidence? Nuffin. They used evolution to demonstrate evolution — highly illogical, Captain. Mathematical models look good on paper, but are based on presuppositions. The most logical conclusion wa...

Science Fiction, Extraterrestrials, and Creation

Image
For many years, science fiction and space fantasy themes have been around. They have greatly increased on the scene and silver screen over the years and have become very profitable. Comic book mutant stories can be considered science fiction, but there is an abundance of space alien stories. In the book Alien Intrusion — UFOs and the evolution connection , Gary Bates delves into the history of UFOs (now called UAPs) as well as science fiction. Although he does not believe that extraterrestrials exist, like many of us, still likes Star Trek  and other science fiction. Alien spacecraft over city, Pixabay / Secoura The genre is a means of making all sorts of social commentary. Some is called speculative fiction . Rod Serling used The Twilight Zone  to make all sorts of points under the guise of supernatural and science fiction stories. Many authors and movie makers have done the same. Herbert George Wells wrote The War of the Worlds , published in 1898. He took the fascination pe...

Evolution and Out-of-Sequence Fossils

Image
Every once in a while, a fundamentalist evolutionist will assert that the fossils are in order, showing primitive to advanced life forms. The most likely reasons for stating this are ignorance or dishonesty. That is because knowledgeable evolutionists are well aware that the fossil record is disrupted. Indeed, in Origin of Species , the Bearded Buddha himself lamented that the fossil record is incomplete and that transitional forms are missing. Unfortunately, when celebrities like Bill Nye the Propaganda Guy spread falsehoods, evolution believers tend to accept them without question. Trilobyte fossils, Freeimages /  Dave Dyet Non-scientist Nye made that assertion in the 2014 debate with Ken Ham. Bill is not a scientist, let alone, a paleontologist. Obviously, non-scientists make assertions, but such a strong claim should be examined by thinking people. Some wonder why Ham did not respond to that claim, but I suspect that since Nye was doing elephant hurling and the debate was nor f...

Bad Science, Materialism, and Emergence

Image
Although many materialists treat science as a religion, it is actually a philosophy — a way of conducting searches to find certain truths about the world. Materialists assume that physical things such as molecules and atoms are all that exist, but there is no God. Materialists use their presuppositions to advance their secular worldview. When they cannot back up their claims, they fudge it and employ escape hatches (rescuing devices). Notice how Darwinists say that something emerged  but let the statement itself serve as evidence. Aircraft escape hatch at Kasuga Air Base, Wikimedia Commons / Hunini ( CC BY-SA 4.0 ) Something supposedly emerged according to evolution. How did it emerge? What caused it? People who want their biases confirmed are willing to settle for stories and bland assertions, but they are unwilling to consider that evidence can be better interpreted to show that something "emerged" because it was created. Faced with conundrums posed by the origin of the un...

Astrobiology Defying Science and Logic

Image
Materialists have their invisible friends, which are space aliens. They even created a fake science to study them and called it astrobiology . Except that there is no astro to biologize. That is (this may come as a shock), there are no space aliens. The whole philosophy is based on chasing shadows. This stuff is based on abiogenesis, where life supposedly came from non-life. (Many claim that abiogenesis has nothing to do with evolution, which is false; it is also called chemical evolution .) Abiogenesis is to be a given, then evolution stories commence from there. Mars,  NASA  / JPL-Caltech (usage does not imply endorsement of site contents) Secular scientists reject the Creator, but know that the origin of life cannot be explained on Earth, so they outsource the problem to space aliens. Life evolved, and it must have originated out yonder. Some of the stories they tell deserve Ig Nobel Prizes  because they defy logic and should be laughed away instead of published in ser...

Cute Nature is Often Vicious

Image
While the Creator may very well have designed creatures to be pleasing to the eye, "cuteness" is subjective on our parts. We like when a kitty purrs, and may be surprised that some of their huge wild cousins also purr. But big and little cats are predators that hunt and kill. Aww, look at the cute chimpanzee! He is smiling! When an adult chimp is smiling, it is showing its teeth and thinking about violently ending you. That is why baby chimps are dressed up and ride tricycles, which seems to be abusive. Lion eating a zebra, Unsplash / Leon Pauleikhoff Atheists will take examples of predation, venom, and other unpleasantness in nature to say that if God exists, he made awful creatures. Meanwhile, death is a hero to evolution because the more fit take the place of the less fit. They do not want to get the full story from God's perspective. In the beginning, everything was very good. Sin entered the picture, and things went downhill quickly. As much as we love to sing about...

Proofs of Evolution are Lacking

Image
Everywhere we turn, Darwinism is assumed to be true. People even make up their own fake truths to seem all sciency and stuff. A video made an assertion about behavior being based on caveman days. The claim was unsubstantiatable, and when I called out the video maker on the false claim, a fundamentalist evolutionist railed at me that evolution is the best supported fact of science. Indeed, many people claim evolution is a proven fact — showing their ignorance of how science works. Algae pond near Hurley, NY, Unsplash / Cowboy Bob Sorensen (modified) "That's a pretty bold statement, Cowboy Bob!" No, not really. Things that have been considered scientific facts have been removed many times. What science does quite well is disprove  things. Also, there are scientists who admit that particles-to-planetologist evolution has many problems. F'rinstance, since abiogenesis (the secularist origin of life) violates the law of biogenesis and cannot be explained, evolutionists try...

Evolutionists Still Revising Ancestor Ages

Image
A fossil from Scotland named  Westlothiana lizziae received press because it supposedly represents an ancestor for many tetrapods, but the claim has major problems. For one thing, it cannot be supported in paleontology. Secularists blind the public with science, and people think that evolutionists are clever. W. lizziae  was not given a precise age before, but Darwin's disciples were able to massage data and make assumptions to get an age that they wanted. It now lands in a hole in the fossil record. Old Man of Storr, Portree, UK, Unsplash / Diane Rish This hole is called Romer's Gap, where in allegedly millions of years, few fossils are found. (Apparently Darwin's Flying Monkeys™ who frequent social(ist) media and say that there are no gaps in the fossil record have not heard of this.) The transitional form is nowhere near complete, and the dating is forced into the desired place. An allegedly vital piece of animal evolution was first discovered in 1984 in Scotland. Conve...

Creativity is a Product of Design

Image
Although humans are classified as animals ( which is biblically untenable ), it is useful in scientific ways. To use self-serving rhetoric used by atheists and other evolutionists and claim that we are "just" animals is quite ridiculous. Biblical creationists have been pointing out notable differences for many years. Some things we do that are not found in animals are composing symphonies, painting detailed art, sculpture, writing, nuanced language, photography, and more. Many of those things are aspects of creativity  — which is an aspect of the Designer (Romans 1:20). Picture of picture taking apparatus, Unsplash / Cowboy Bob Sorensen Materialists appeal to naturalism and exclude anything supernatural, especially God, then think their belief system is "reality." (Ironic that their reality cannot come from from the science they claim to uphold). Creativity seems to originate in the imagination. Where is that  located in the body? Most secularists deny the existence...

Life Within the Snow

Image
It is winter in these parts, and that means cold temperatures, ice, and snow. On a snowy day, I saddled up and rode into town for some supplies. As I was in the general store, my prospector friend Stormy Waters and her friend Ruby Slippers burst through the door, brushing the snow from their jackets. We talked while they shopped. Ruby does not mind the weather, but Stormy wants it to go away and have greener things come back to life. While I feel the same as Stormy, I have become stoical about it and endure winter. Winter trees in snow, Pexels / Jeffrey Czum , modified at PhotoFunia Ancient pagan cultures celebrated the arrival of spring, which meant the return of life. Or so they thought. What those folks could not know is that there is an abundance of life in winter. Do you really want to eat snow? Yes, it is frozen water vapor, but there are living things in it! When it comes to the seasons, we often associate life with spring, not winter. Depending on where you live, winter brings ...
