Evolution, Creation, and Legal Rights for Trees

Image
People have been trying for some time now to give legal status to parts of nature, which most folks find...truly bizarre.  Rivers can file lawsuits , an  elephant was declared a person for a while , and more. At least Utah and some other states are not participating in this madness . Yet. Nature "rights" are rooted in evolutionary beliefs. Think about it: We all evolved from a common ancestor, so humans are not special — and not created in the image of God. Indeed, many environmentalists are actually  engaging in goddess worship . Now we are to talk to trees? Dead trees, Unsplash / Cowboy Bob Sorensen People giving legal status to things in nature lower the status of humans, and wanting to talk to trees is not helping matters. Yes, they have their own communications systems, but denizens of the Wood Wide Web are not exactly having discussions or developing a culture. Yet some evolutionists think that every living thing has intelligence. An image of vegetables floating aro...

Radical Environmentalism and Hating Humanity as a Cancer

Image
Intelligent Design sites have some useful information, and some of the concepts they discuss are interesting to people who use critical thinking. While rejecting or affirming material because of its source has fragrance notes of the genetic fallacy, the worldviews of environmental extremists play an important part. In this case, the ID article discusses on a book by Dr. Warren Hern that claims we are a cancer. The "diagnosis" uses medical thinking to predict what will happen in our future. Downtown crowd, modified frim Pixnio / david Stuff like this uses invalid comparisons, incomplete information (for example, a person is far more complex than a cancer cell!), arbitrary assertions, ignore pertinent details, and more. People believe it, and this child maintains that one reason is because people do not use logical thinking, but simply accept sciency stuff. Also, radical environmentalists who declare war on humans  tend to come from an atheistic evolutionary worldview. Christia...

Born to Rewild

Image
When you hear of New York, do you think of that big city, full of buildings, crime, tightly-packed people, and all that good stuff? Somehow, everything north of the center of the universe and Westchester County is "Upstate New York." We have a whole whack of dedicated nature areas. For example, Catskill Park is a huge area that is set apart to keep human activity to a minimum, and the Catskill Center outfit keeps watch over several places. That is just in my neck of the woods at the "foothills of the Catskills." There is much more really upstate, including state parks and such. A bit of nature at Esopus Park Trail, Unsplash / Cowboy Bob Sorensen Don't disunderstand me, this doesn't make New York special! Many regions around the world are set aside for nature and environmental concerns. But for some people, that is not enough. There are extremists who want to rewild . That includes bringing in predators to roam free, and some wanting to include an exorbit...

Pristine Wilderness is a Myth?

Image
As people are celebrating Lenin's birthday , which is also Earth Day, they are advocating for the ethical treatment of animals , taking care of the environment, and other decent things. Keep an eye on the radicals who hijack noble efforts for their own ends. There is talk of "pristine wilderness." What does that really mean? Uncorrupted by civilization, some might say. Others would say that it means untouched by humans. When evolutionary thinking is added to the mix, things get...truly bizarre. Amazon Rainforest, Flickr /  Ivan Mlinaric  ( CC BY 2.0 ) There are people who think that humans taint everything, and the world would be better off if there was no technology, medical science, society, or anything else. Humans have influenced pretty much everything, even areas that are considered pristine, for millennia. Strangely, these extremists are inconsistent with their evolutionary ideas: Since we all allegedly evolved from a common ancestor and evolved to the top of the he...

Conservation-Evolution Cognitive Dissonance

Image
As people celebrate Lenin's birthday and Earth Day, many well-meaning people focus on doing things for the environment. That is obviously a good thing that Christians and creationists can endorse, but it also has leftist political overtones and a wagon train-load of naturalistic undercurrents. Red Squirrel (Sciurus vulgaris) image credit:  Flickr / Bart Hiddink  ( CC BY 2.0 ) Believers in particles-to-politician evolution have cognitive dissonance when it comes to conservation. Their naturalistic views exclude the Creator and have humanity as the result of natural selection, mutations, time, luck, and so on. Nature changes over time, whether anyone likes it or not. People are conflicted over imported (often invasive) and "native" species, and which ones are to be controlled by humans. After all, we evolved better and reached the top of the food chain, right? We're in power, so accept it. However, some think that humans are an invasive species on the planet itself an...

A Perplexing Pair of Pandas

Image
For many years, people have been familiar with the black and white giant panda. Somewhat less known is the red panda (firefox). Scientists have debated whether these belong in the bear family or the garbage panda (raccoon) family, but are sure they are related. Credits: Wikimedia Commons Giant panda by J. Patrick Fischer ( CC BY-SA 3.0 ), Red panda by Greg Hume ( CC BY-SA 3.0 ) The pagan roots of evolutionism are evident when the declining population of the giant panda is attributed to evolution giving them short shrift . Bad news, Beauregard: evolution is not an entity that makes decisions, you savvy that? Also, they did not evolve the ability to use kung fu. That has to be learned. Also, Darwin's acolytes pretend that the panda's "thumb" is an example of bad design — which is a fallacious dysteleological argument used against the Creator. They shoot themselves with their own gun, because this appendage is extremely useful for the critter; if God had wanted them t...

Caring for Ugly Critters

Image
Someone pointed out that there are campaigns to save the more attractive and cute things, but those we consider unattractive tend to be neglected . While the following material is targeted toward creationists, there are principles that can be useful to unbelievers as well. Cute Frenchie being cute ("Frenchie" because of the beret-like black patch) When I post material about unattractive critters, I often put remarks about putting aside personal distaste and appreciating how things were designed by the Master Engineer. Indeed, God created things for a purpose. (Creationists recognize that they were changed by the Fall of man.) So often, people make statements or have prejudices from personal preferences and lack of information. Get the bigger picture.  My wife cares for me, keeps me fed and watered, even though I am in no wise a handsome gent. So I got that going for me, which is nice. Suppose you were on a camping trip and wished that all mosquitoes would drop d...

Deluded Guardians of the Planet

Image
by Cowboy Bob Sorensen It seems that the more people deny their Creator, the stranger things get. As we have seen, evolutionism is rooted in pantheism, and both of them saddle up and ride friendly-like with the New Age brand . (Nothing "new" there, it is just repackaged paganism.) Darwin's death cult is a big part of it. A hero of the anti-natalist movement is suing his parents because he regrets having been born. Interesting that he claims to be close to them, and the amount of money is "symbolic", because he wants to send a message. Apparently people do not ask to be born. This telegram just came in over the singing wire, pilgrim: they never do ask. (Tell me how anyone is supposed to do that. Tarot cards and other hocus pocus, I reckon.) It is a part of the global warming movement to reduce the population, and rejects the biblical teaching that children are a gift from God.  This movement should be flushed.   While that anti-natalist stuff is just p...

Devastation from Secular Environmentalist Ethics

Image
Utilitarian philosophies are rooted in rebellion against the Creator, claiming to have a noble purpose for the good of the many. Essentially, for the pleasure and what is good for the majority. Secular views are inherently self-refuting and contradictory. Climate change and other environmental initiatives are often utilitarian . Background image credit: Pixabay /  icheinfach Individuals are often required to sacrifice their freedoms for the good of the majority. In the movie Minority Report, three people with precognitive abilities were essentially imprisoned so they could provide information for the Premurder division of the police. While the results gained from their skills were considered helpful for society, nobody questioned the fact that they were essentially slaves — in a tank of water, no less. The purpose was utilitarian, to sacrifice themselves for the good of the many. We know that most environmentalists have good intentions, wanting nature and humanity to live ...

Exterminate Humans for a Better World

Image
One of the dangers of evolutionary thinking is the way some two-bit owlhoots use their fundamentally flawed worldview to saddle the rest of us with their dictates. While taking care of the environment is a biblical principle , radical environmentalism is downright dangerous. Some think killing off people will bring about a utopia. Credit: Pixabay/ Free-Photos The ugly kid brother of radical environmentalism is the fanatical cult version of anthropogenic global climate change, and some tinhorns use the scare tactics of that to inflate the bigger picture that they imagine. To make the world a better place, eliminate a whole heap of humans. (This also fits with eugenics and abortion concepts.) Killing off many people is not new to the radical environmental movement , but this is a variation on a theme. Maybe the socialistic "Green New Deal" by Ocasio-Cortez will head in this direction if implemented? To be consistent with their evolutionary worldview, we should be abl...

Evolution and the Ecosexual

Image
by Cowboy Bob Sorensen WARNING: This article contains information that is not recommended for children, and may be disturbing for some adults. Researching diverse subjects for articles is often fascinating, but sometimes I find material that I find troubling, and take no pleasure in writing. Several of the links below contain mature content and profanity. Credit: Pixabay / David Bruyland When I first encountered the word ecosexual , I looked it up and then dismissed it as a fringe fad that would fall by the wayside, sort of like the word metrosexual . Instead, the ecosexual movement appears to have grown into a strange brew of environmental extremism, witchcraft, sexuality, evolutionism, and selfishness. Something else for you to study on is the way people are indulging in more sensuality nowadays. They are even seeking their identities in how they obtain sexual pleasure. Sex is a gift from our Creator, both for procreation and our pleasure. As we can easily see, it is bei...

The Boy and the Gorilla

Image
by Cowboy Bob Sorensen  Shock, horror, outrage, and a host of other reactions when a 3-year-old boy climbed into an enclosure with silverback gorillas. Harimbe, the male, dragged the child through the water and stood over him, and zoo officials decided the best course of action was to shoot the animal. Expert Jack Hanna is certain that shooting it was the correct course of action , since the gorilla was showing signs of agitation. Silverback gorilla image credit: Freeimages / Chad Littlejohn Instead of being thankful that a human child was saved from a powerful wild animal, there has been a great deal of outrage and finger-pointing as to who is to blame: the parents , the zoo, and so forth. Read the news reports and watch for emotionally-laden terminology and provocative wording .  Some animal "rights" people want the parents held responsible  for the gorilla's death . (Trophy hunters  Rebecca Francis ,  Melissa Bachman , and  Walter Palmer ...
