Dawn of War Between Evolutionary Biologists

It may come as a shock to some folks, but scientists are not in lockstep. This is clearly evident among atoms-to-atheist evolutionists. Consider the popular myth that dinosaurs were devastated by the impact of a big rock from space, but there are numerous other speculations as to what made them go extinct.

Apparently some of the diverse views among evolutionists have been caused by the secular science industry promoting leftist causes. Medical exceptions aside, there are only two sexes; the Creator said so (Genesis 1:27). Evolutionary biologists are getting obstreperous over the truth.

Battle of Vercellae, Giovanni Battista Tiepolo, 1729
One side claims that sex is not so simple, as both males and females have traits shown in each other. (Big deal. Some men are not interested in stereotypical masculine things, and there are women who do not fit the mold of femininity, yet most do not doubt their sexes.) The other side of the issue is attacked by cancel culture because they stand for what has been known from the beginning: Only two sexes. Shots are being fired, so to speak.
. . .Tina Hesman Saey . . . is unhappy about a January White House executive order that aimed at “restoring biological truth to the federal government” by insisting on a biological definition of sex rather than an emotional one based on self-identification.

She quotes various researchers who back up her concern, namely that “Any definition of sex used to determine who can get an identification card or use a public restroom needs to account for variation, they and other researchers say.”

. . .

In short, those women who thought that guys could be kept out of the women’s change room are put on notice here that science — as Saey understands it — is not on their side.

. . .

Shortly afterward, mainstream evolutionary biologists started falling one by one at the hands of Cancel Culture. That was specifically because they insisted on the sex binary nature of humans (and all other creatures with a primate body plan).

And now Lents has fallen in with those who would agree with him that “Reducing sex to a binary really doesn’t make a lot of sense for how we actually live.”
