As mentioned previously , scientists have claimed to follow where the evidence leads  — as if evidence was a person. (Even so, we know what they mean.) However, many are unwilling to reach certain conclusions based on evidence because they dislike them. Dr. Richard Lewontin admitted that he believes in evolution despite  the evidence . Others have done the same. Once again we see that the narrative takes priority, and that is based on a materialistic worldview. Despite the railings of many atheists and other believers in Darwin's story, biblical creationists do indeed accept — and use — science. Way, way up on the Tibetan Plateau is the Tibetan Snow Lotus. Of course, after China invaded Tibet in 1950, they have even influenced language; it is better known as Snow Lotus or even Chinese Snow Lotus. Or use the scientific name ( Saussurea laniceps ). One of the problems in descent with modifications evolution is that it is pervasive, with outdated ideas still used. I occasionally see videos that make evolutionary assertions that have no basis in fact. A couple of these on psychology referred to the lizard (or reptile) brains of humans. The idea of humans having a triune brain with a lizard at the base is fundamentally flawed in several ways. One of these is lack of evidence. In southeastern Utah is a nice spread of 337,598 acres called Canyonlands National Park, hosting canyons (obviously), spires, and buttes. Conventional uniformitarian geology says that rivers carved the canyons of millions of Darwin years. While approaches to logical reasoning and some other areas in philosophy are useful, people can be so wrapped up in it that they become deceived. Some believe that Christianity is simply the development of ideas from Aristotle, and especially Plato. It has even been suggested that the Trinity came from their philosophies. The common story about fossilization told by believers in universal common descent is, to be blunt, absurd even on the surface. Biblical creationists have long used short-term comets as an argument against deep time, as they should no longer exist. Comets have long elliptical orbits, and when they near the sun, they light up as some of their material burns away. Astronomers figure they should only last about 20,000 years. While that amount of time is outside recent creation models, it is far outside conventional beliefs. Although it raises hackles on secularists, geology is a historical science. Scientists use what is observed in the present to try and determine what went on in the past. Ken Ham and other biblical creationists have famously pointed out that if there was a global Genesis Flood, there would be obvious evidence. This evidence include trillions of fossils buried in rock layers laid down by water all over the earth, geological strata, and more. Since Benjamin Franklin was a diplomat, practitioner of science, influencer of culture, and considered very wise, it is not surprising that he is still known worldwide over 300 years after his birth. The media for descent with modifications present their views as if evolution were all figured out, no questions asked. That is news to scientists, as they are continually trying to make the story of evolution make sense. One are of concern is how humans became bipedal.  Sure, apes are quadrupedal, but sometimes they walk upright for a short time. Uncomfortably. They got hip bones, we got hip bones. There are lessons to be learned from the concept of "junk" DNA, including hubris, deep time, and bad assumptions. Fundamentally-flawed presuppositions play a big part. Believers in fish-to-fool evolution tend to assume naturalism and build from there. Big mistake. DNA just had  to keep evolving by chance and random processes over time. Scientists sequenced the human genome and found that almost none of it coded for proteins, therefore, it was useless leftovers from our supposed evolutionary past.
