When I finished loading supplies into my buckboard, I noticed someone standing nearby. It was Lisa Myworries, supervisor of the Winkie Guards at the Darwin Ranch out yonder at Deception Pass. Darwin's acolytes are unable to accept the hand they have been dealt, so they deal from the bottom of the deck, mark cards, and essentially cheat up a storm. Soft tissues in dinosaur bones have given them apoplexy, so they try to make excuses and defy logic. Some even deny the facts, such as the existence of soft tissues. (One village evolutionist made a comment on a post about C-14 in dinosaur bones , "It's rare, which suggests contamination." In other words, "Nuh UH! I make up my own truth!") Biblical creationists have long used short-term comets as an argument against deep time, as they should no longer exist. Comets have long elliptical orbits, and when they near the sun, they light up as some of their material burns away. Astronomers figure they should only last about 20,000 years. While that amount of time is outside recent creation models, it is far outside conventional beliefs. Although it raises hackles on secularists, geology is a historical science. Scientists use what is observed in the present to try and determine what went on in the past. Ken Ham and other biblical creationists have famously pointed out that if there was a global Genesis Flood, there would be obvious evidence. This evidence include trillions of fossils buried in rock layers laid down by water all over the earth, geological strata, and more. Conventional geologists have some stories, but there are some experiments that support creation science models. Since Benjamin Franklin was a diplomat, practitioner of science, influencer of culture, and considered very wise, it is not surprising that he is still known worldwide over 300 years after his birth. Secularists who try to rewrite American history say Ben and others were Deists. The Deist claim is mostly false , but Franklin? His views are hard to pin down, and they changed over the years. The media for descent with modifications present their views as if evolution were all figured out, no questions asked. That is news to scientists, as they are continually trying to make the story of evolution make sense. One are of concern is how humans became bipedal.  Sure, apes are quadrupedal, but sometimes they walk upright for a short time. Uncomfortably. They got hip bones, we got hip bones. There are lessons to be learned from the concept of "junk" DNA, including hubris, deep time, and bad assumptions. Fundamentally-flawed presuppositions play a big part. Believers in fish-to-fool evolution tend to assume naturalism and build from there. Big mistake. DNA just had  to keep evolving by chance and random processes over time. Scientists sequenced the human genome and found that almost none of it coded for proteins, therefore, it was useless leftovers from our supposed evolutionary past. In a recent discussion on Folly Road with Sherwood Tellit of the Darwin Ranch, I was informed that the evolutionary story (or "fact," as he called it) explains biogeography quite nicely. It is the study of how plants and animals migrated over the years: "How did that get there ?" Superficially, evolution may seem plausible for the migrations of organisms. Having been involved in presenting biblical creation science on social(ist) media for several years, there are some distressing things I have noticed. Unfortunately, it is not from atheists and theistic evolutionists, who we expect to be obstreperous. It is distressing when professing Christians act like those folks. Many Christians do not realize that we are not in it to "win" arguments, but to remove stumbling blocks so we can present the gospel message. Cute pictures with slogans get "likes" but in-depth material is ignored. Mean-spirited material gets applauded. These things ought not to be. There are parents who want to shield their children from evolution, but that is ridiculous. Kids learn things anyway — and often rebel against their parents. The way penguins fly is amazing — if one redefines the word fly . For most folks, it is obvious: The ability to maneuver through the air. Penguins are flightless when it comes to air, but underwater, it sure does look like they are flying. Their movement in water has been studied in great detail. Saddle up and ride to the top of the hill for the big picture, useful when atheists make assertions. They often claim that they believe in reality because they deny the existence of God; they are materialists and matter is all that exists. That is their definition of reality. As discussed before , one purpose for the James Webb Space Telescope was to find evidence supporting the Big Bang. Scientists expected it to "look back in time" and see stars and galaxies they way they looked shortly after the Big Bang. The results are the opposite of what mainstream scientists expect. Yesterday morning I was talking with my prospector friend Stormie Waters and her fiancé Roland Meadows, and the topic strayed from their upcoming nuptials to the Genesis Flood. The formerly United States had a surprisingly bad winter in 1970s, so scientists began prognosticating that another ice age  was on the way. In fact, there was no stopping it. This notion was suddenly left to chill and the scaremongers instead came up with global warming caused by humans. People try to find value (or validation) in many places, something to make them feel...complete. It is natural to wonder what standard is used to give a person value. Comparing ourselves to other people is common, but it gets discouraging because there is always someone better at something. Computers and robots are better at many things than humans, but those are designed for specific purposes. Artificial intelligence is highly advanced software. It often mimics human thinking, and some folks think it can surpass humanity. For Darwin's disciples, time is a hero in their evolution stories. It has been pointed out before that evolution requires millions or billions of years to happen. Cosmologists, geologists, and others strive to "find" those years — which are constantly assumed anyway. The word badlands  is often used to mean that an area is not good for living in, growing crops, and so forth. South Dakota has badlands. The Badlands National Park  takes up the area of three counties. Also in the badlands area is a National Historic Site involving deactivated nuclear missile silos . Some biblical creationists do not cotton to the expression "YEC," as young earth creationist  implies that a young earth is the starting point. Rather, we believe that the earth is young because the Bible clearly indicates recent creation; it is true from the very first verse. It may come as a shock to some people, but when reading the creation account, Genesis 1:30 says that everything was vegetarian! The other day, I went to visit Hammond Suisse at his spread and helped with some odds and ends. Day became night. We were taking a break, looking up at the stars. That always stirs me on the inside. Canada geese were honking and flying in formation, darker areas against the night. "Do they use the stars to know where they're going?" he asked. I replied, "Sure do.
