Geology and Global Flood Paleontology Explained

Image
Defenders of deep time, especially on social(ist) media, despise any discussion of the global Genesis Flood. Many refuse to examine evidence for it, clutching their pearls and crying that there is no reason to consider the evidence because there was no Flood. Because atheism. (One may justifiably wonder if these owlhoots have always been anti-science and anti-thought.) Uniformitarian geology cannot adequately explain many observed facts without making excuses for recalcitrant data, but creation science Flood geology does a better job — especially with an accurate geological model. Coward's Falls, Flickr / Cowboy Bob Sorensen  ( CC BY-NC-SA 2.0 ) Using extensive data, geologist Dr. Tim Clarey and others from the Institute for Creation Research made a map of the Flood effects. If evidences creationists used to support the Genesis Flood were one-off anomalies, they could arguably be easier to ignore or dismiss. Instead, geological features of the Flood stages span continents. Creatio

Insultingly Bad Crow and Raven Evolution Report

Image
Edited 6 May 2022 The family Corvidae (more informally, corvids) includes rooks, magpies, jays, ravens, crows, and several other bird types. My wife and I became interested in (and fond of) blue jays. They sure do love peanuts! My own learning broadened, and I came to appreciate crows, their maligned cousins, as well.  Here in upstate New York, we have the black American crow. It ranges across the entire continental area of the formerly United States, and a good chuck of Canada. We also get ravens in our area, but because of the overlaps in size and a few similar calls, I don't know if I've seen a raven or not. Crow, Unsplash / Jaime Dantas Variations of crow types are known worldwide. They have a (mostly) undeserved bad reputation, and are associated with bad tidings and death. You won't see a flock of crows. That grouping is called a murder . (A picture that I find hilarious is of two crows with the caption, "Attempted murder." Someone pointed out that they may

The Non-Science of Physics?

Image
Generally speaking, the term hard science  applies to empirical sciences that are used to observe, test, measure, and repeat things. This also means something should be verifiable. Otherwise, a hypothesis has no practical value and could be pseudoscience. Mathematics and physics get into the workings of the universe, whether the velocity of the coffee cup your cat pushed off the kitchen counter upon impacting the floor, to astronomy and such. Isaac Newton's Laws of Motion explain a great deal, then came Uncle Albert Einstein's Theory of General Relativity. String Theory 2, Flickr / parameter_bond (Public Domain) There are still may things unexplained by various areas in physics, so new ideas a proposed such as string theory, loop quantum gravity, and others. But they have no empirical evidence. In 1984, the Wendy's hamburger chain had an advertising campaign, " Where's the beef? ", stating that their food had beef, but others did not give much. The advertisem

The Cambrian Explosion and Trilobite Optics

Image
Despite the assertions of believers in particles-to-paleontologist evolution, their historical science is riddled with problems. Sometimes, they evosplain things away. Other problems are too difficult to easily dismiss. A couple of days ago, I accompanied my prospector friend Stormie Waters and her pal Ruby Slippers down Texas way. We picked up their supplies and went to the Brittle Star, a restaurant saloon. We talked and watched some folks playing faro. When what to our wondering eyes should appear but Cliff Swallows, the assistant foreman from the Darwin Ranch, and a lady that was new to us. Trilobite, RGBStock / Martyn E. Jones Cliff introduced her as Stevia Dolce, a new baker at the ranch. Conversation drifted to how the saloon shared a name with the brittle star, a relative of the starfish. I mentioned that they show no signs of evolution, but also how they were designed to "see" with their skin . Stevia smiled sweetly and changed the subject to trilobites. It did not g

Stonehenge and the Biblical Timeframe

Image
One of the most remarkable and recognizable places in the world is Stonehenge, bringing along a sense of mystery. There are numerous candidates for the original builders and their reasons for doing so, but those are only speculations. Why was it built? Perhaps it is because it is on one of the alleged ley lines . Some people think it may have been a temple or healing center , possibly because of the unique bluestones (spotted dolomite) that were transported from Wales to the Stonehenge site. It has been determined that it was set up to be a perpetual calendar. Stonehenge, Pixabay / Simons41 While Stonehenge was known to have astronomical aspects, it took many years to determine that its structure shows mathematical precision. The ancient builders knew that there would need to be adjustments made for leap years as well. (Remnants of the  Cahokia Woodhenge were discovered in the 1960s. Although less ancient, its builders apparently made it to be a solar calendar as well. It doesn't

Deep Time and Evolutionary Inflation

Image
Believers in atoms-to-archaeologist evolution have long proclaimed that time is one of the heroes of their story, and that given enough time, anything can happen. Their stercoration is largely successful because few people consider probabilities, scientific facts, evolutionists' history of fraudulent and incompetence when handling science, and more. That word million  is casually thrown around, but folks generally disunderstand what it means. We are to be awestruck and fascinated when scientists use of the term  millions of years , and that is another way for them to hoodwink the public. Pixabay / Pete Linforth Claims of millions of years (unobserved, of course) are a smoke screen to assist materialists when dealing from the bottom of the deck to get a straight flush of secular miracles. Assertions of " it evolved " are shrouded in deep time. If you watch closely, they even stack the deck to gain evolutionary dates they want, even if it means contradicting other evolution

Blind Cavefish Designed to Adapt to Low Oxygen Levels

Image
Although tetra  means four , here it is a short form of  Tetragonopterus , a genus name meaning "square finned" or "four-sided-wing". Tetras are popular with aquarists because some are quite colorful. The  Mexican tetra  is unimpressive in appearance, and has two forms. The most common lives where one would expect to see fish doing fish stuff, but the other is the blind cavefish . (We had some in our aquarium, and thought they were gentle and got along with other fish.) They exhibit changes that are erroneously claimed to be examples of evolution . Blind cavefish, Wikimedia Commons / Syrio  ( CC BY-SA 4.0 ) As in other cases, Darwin's disciples try to bamboozle people by saying loss of traits are examples of onward and upward evolution. Blind cavefish have shown that they are designed to adapt . For that matter, the blind and sighted varieties cannot be considered separate species , so there's nothing exhibited that can be legitimately claimed as evolution

Pristine Wilderness is a Myth?

Image
As people are celebrating Lenin's birthday , which is also Earth Day, they are advocating for the ethical treatment of animals , taking care of the environment, and other decent things. Keep an eye on the radicals who hijack noble efforts for their own ends. There is talk of "pristine wilderness." What does that really mean? Uncorrupted by civilization, some might say. Others would say that it means untouched by humans. When evolutionary thinking is added to the mix, things get...truly bizarre. Amazon Rainforest, Flickr /  Ivan Mlinaric  ( CC BY 2.0 ) There are people who think that humans taint everything, and the world would be better off if there was no technology, medical science, society, or anything else. Humans have influenced pretty much everything, even areas that are considered pristine, for millennia. Strangely, these extremists are inconsistent with their evolutionary ideas: Since we all allegedly evolved from a common ancestor and evolved to the top of the he

Irrational Ethical Treatment of Animals

Image
Sensible people can agree that torturing animals for personal pleasure, as well as having callous disregard for their lives, is wrong. There are individuals and activist groups that campaign for animal rights. However, their positions are inconsistent and irrational. They have a worldview based on atoms-to-animal evolution. If Darwin's version of evolution were true (survival of the fittest and all that) humans should be able to do what we want. By saying mistreatment is wrong, they violate their worldview. In the Christian worldview, however, caring for creatures makes sense. Basement Cat, Flickr / Cowboy Bob Sorensen ( CC BY-NC-SA 2.0 ) It is interesting that vegetarians and vegans use their philosophies as a badge of honor (virtue signaling), and sit in self-appointed judgment of omnivores. To be blunt, they act like cultists (1 Tim. 4:1-5, and see " Vegetarianism Has Become an End-Time Religion ", thanks to WHYOutreach for the link). By saying that something is wrong

Journey Beneath the Grand Canyon Rim

Image
One characteristic of false teachers and cults is to isolate their people, which is to keep them from interacting with and learning from other people. If you study on it, biblical creationists are the opposite. Especially the scientists. They have friends and professional colleagues who hold to secular views of science. However, they still work together and even co-author scientific papers, then shake hands and part friendly. Biblical creationists, whether scientists or the rest of us, are not isolated from old-Earth views. Consider the Grand Canyon. Colorado River Rafting, Flickr / Gordon Tarpley ( CC BY-SA 2.0 ) Many people journey to the Grand Canyon in the formerly United States. Some keep it simple, spend a few minutes, make "wow" sounds, and leave. Others get more involved with hiking, rafting the Colorado River, and more. Rafting for tourist can be a rather short jaunt of a few hours, but certain creationists wanted to get serious about it: nine days and eight nights.

Ancient DNA and Overused Evolutionary Terms

Image
Time and time again, Darwin's disciples are trapped by their erroneous presuppositions. They filter observed evidence through their worldviews  and are continually surprised when their speculations do not match the facts. Rescuing devices and obambulating weasel words are utilized. As regular readers have seen, secular cosmologists are constantly surprised that facts do not align with preconceptions. This also happens in biology, paleontology, and so on. "Earlier than thought", "Later than thought" and similar terms are vague but unapologetic admissions of error. They are used in discussions of ancient DNA. One major problem for those of the deep-time persuasion is that they assume the earth is billions of years old despite frequent evidences to the contrary . It was extremely difficult to get labs to carbon date diamonds because they "knew" there would be no C14. Wrong. Dinosaurs and other creatures "cannot" have soft tissues and discernable

Volcano Research Supports Creation Science Flood Models

Image
The Genesis Flood is extremely important in creation science, and there are Flood models postulated to correspond with observational evidence. Of course, biblical creationists disagree on details and put forward differing models, but agree that the Word of God is of primary importance. People tend to have a superficial knowledge of the Flood, thinking it was only  40 days and nights. No, the waters were on the earth for 150 days. There was much more happening than rain, and creationists are interested in paleontology, geology, and volcanism. Havre Volcano, original image: NASA / Jeff Schmaltz LANCE / EOSDIS MODIS Rapid Response Team, GSFC (usage does not imply endorsement) Submitted for your approval are two short articles. First, biblical creationists reject the stories of multiple ice ages that secularists tell because there is no real evidence for them, but there is abundant evidence for one Ice Age. The global Flood of Noah's day involved catastrophic geological processes, inc

Archaeology and the Resurrection of Jesus

Image
On the holiday traditionally known as Easter, millions of professing Christians gather to celebrate how God the Son was bodily raised from the dead. Jesus is our Creator (John1:1-3, Colossians 1:15-17) and took the form of man to die on the cross (Philippians 2:8), then his Resurrection was on the third day. We have eyewitness testimony in the Gospels (1 Corinthians 15:3-8). We also have evidence from archaeology. While it is not direct  evidence, there are many aspects that support the biblical narratives. Something noteworthy about the Bible that sets it apart from myths, legends, fairy tales, and so on is the amount of very specific details that are not found in made-up stories. Church of the Holy Sepulcher image credit: Flickr /  Seetheholyland.net  ( CC BY-SA 2.0 ) There are several compelling facts supported by archaeology, including the fact that he was worshiped as God long before such a legend would have time to develop. Cumulative details from history and archaeology indicate

Debunking "Bad Design of the Human Ear" Claims

Image
Advocates of universal common ancestor evolution often declare that certain parts of the human body and in animals are poorly designed, therefore, there is no Master Designer. The first thing to notice is that such claims (dysteleology) are based on opinions, not science. In fact, those are theological  "arguments"! Creationists say that things are designed, and are constantly being vindicated. We saw a refutation of "bad design" of the human ear a spell back. As is so often the case, additional information reaffirms the creationist position. Pexels / Karolina Grabowska Darwinoids were complaining that some critters can close off their ears to keep water and things out, we can't, so there is no Creator. Well, we're not chickens, seals, crows, and other things. Their ears were designed for their lifestyles, ours were designed for the way we live. You savvy that? We already have ear protection, enhanced sound discrimination, and to be able to locate sounds. T

Human-Ape DNA Similarities Further Falsified

Image
Riekert Darkens, evolutionary astrologer and part-time carnival worker from the Darwin Ranch, went to the town and gave a lecture in the saloon. He perpetuated the myth that chimpanzees have a genome that is ninety-eight percent similar to that of humans. That was terrible science when it was first promoted. Not only did Darwin's votaries select what they wanted to compare and ignored the rest, but the samples were contaminated by human DNA. Since then, more honest and capable researcher have brought that percentage down to about eighty-five percent . Pixabay /  qimono It strikes this child as extremely disingenuous for evolutionists to not only keep the similarity myth going, but to also act like other obvious details are unimportant. People with a grain of sense can see that we are unlike chimps, despite the assertions of feral atheists on social(ist) media. They despise the fact that humans and animals were created separately; humans are unique. As indicated several times before

Snowball Earth Rescues the Great Unconformity?

Image
Anti-creationists often berate biblical creationists for a "rejection of facts", and the unwillingness to change our minds. Well, we do not have an a priori  commitment to materialism. Many of the "facts" we reject are simply stories. It is common for evolutionists and the uniformitarian geologists who obediently give Darwin billions of years (so he can weave his spell) by using fake science. A just-so story is told, and when it runs into scientific trouble, it can be rescued by more bad science. Such is the case of the Great Unconformity and Snowball Earth. Combined Flickr images: Snowball Earth by  guano   and Great Unconformity by  brewbrooks  (both are  CC BY-SA 2.0 ) The stories are plausible at first glance, but are loaded expensive words, essentially blinding the public with science jargon. People who use critical thinking as well as honest scientists who are trained in the appropriate areas are not as easily fooled. Have you seen the part of Monty Python and

Creation Science, Free Speech, and Censorship

Image
Censorship brings to mind governmental bodies restricting speech and refusing to allow criticism of leaders, removal of books from libraries that do not fit the views of the rulings parties, controlling the media, and so forth. However, censorship is being used to describe ways in which people besides government bureaucrats restrict speech. There were times when (generally speaking but not always) contrary viewpoints were discussed and debated instead of suppressed. People would think. Science thrives on challenges instead of maintaining a consensus. Original image sources: Freeimages / vangeldere (left), Pexels / Francesco (right) It may surprise some people, but censorship is necessary to some extent. For example, platforms promoting free speech like MeWe , Parler , Gab , and others have rules where the user cannot break laws, engage in harassment, and so on. Censorship in found in numerous forms. Although biblical creationists and Intelligent Design proponents can publish in secul

Our Beautiful Wrecked World

Image
Well, something escalated quickly. My prospector friend Stormie Waters stopped by my place, then we went into town for supplies. After loading up her buckboard, we went to lunch. Al Buehterawl and Lotta Lyez from the Darwin ranch joined us. Our jawing turned to the beauty of the canyons, buttes, arches, rock layers, and so on. I agreed and added that this planet is wrecked, and that nobody can imagine its splendor before the Genesis Flood. Lotta Lyez was incensed, and Al Buehterawl took a deep breath and railed against the Flood. Victoria Falls gorge and bridge, Wikimedia Commons /  JackyR  ( CC BY-SA 3.0 ) Al and Lotta went on to make the ridiculous boilerplate remark from anti-creationists that there is no evidence for the Flood. I pointed out that if secularists would remove their uniformitarian slow 'n' gradual processes spectacles , they might be able to honestly examine the evidence and see that yes, there is a passel of evidence for the Flood. Lotta turned a shade of pur

Quote Mining and Damage Control

Image
Believers in universal common ancestor evolution are often presented as being united in their beliefs, with only a few small details disputed in the drawing room over cigars and brandy. Evolutionists often get on the prod when creationists refute this false image. In US law, statements against interest  are admissible in court. When we use the words of evolutionists who are candid about their doubts , accusations of quote mining  are utilized. One of the most impressive statements against interest was made by Dr. Colin Patterson. Unfortunately, some Christians have done quote mining. It usually seems to be from uninformed but enthusiastic people who want to have a "gotcha" remark against evolution. From those who are informed, and especially from creationist organizations, the charge is generally unfounded because such people know the importance of context and checking the facts. We cannot be like misotheists and anti-creationists who do  use quote mining of the Bible. In Da

Evolutionists Continuing to Tease

Image
Even the hands at the Darwin Ranch (near Deception Pass) know that evolution is not a "proven fact", they leave that assertion to the scientifically ignorant. But they like to make promises like dangling a carrot in front of a horse to keep it moving forward. Evolution is based on faith. That's right, I said it!  Always waiting for the next big thing that might validate their beliefs, secularists believe despite lack of evidence . Lots of smoke and mirrors about mysteries of evolution. In the midst of this, they keep making promises. Cropped from Pixabay / Dede Never willing to play the cards they're dealt, they pretend to have winning hands by bluffing and saying insipid things about how facts that contradict evolution shed light on our understanding. Except that evolutionists do not give us any science, just guesses, maybes, speculations, and so on. They pick up those things on the ground behind horses, polish them, and displaying them in the evolutionary turd museu
