Back to the Dry, Young Moon?

Image
NASA chose to name their new lunar project after Artemis, goddess of the moon — and a number of other things. The spacecraft it is carrying is named after Orion the hunter. It has been fifty years since Gene Cernan of Apollo 17 left the last footprints on the moon. The goal of the Artemis program is to eventually setting up a lunar base. Quite a few science fiction stories have been written and filmed about those, but there are several serious problems involved that the writers gloss over. The moon is outside the protection of Earth's magnetic field, so if the sun got ornery and shot off a flare, the solar wind could be fatal very quickly. There are also temperature extremes, which the Apollo missions minimalized. Light and dark cycles are very long. Another problem remains, and it's a biggie. Water. Coo

NASA and Wernher von Braun

Image
It seemed fitting to post this on the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 lunar landing. A few years ago, I posted a quote from Dr. Wernher von Braun in a forum about God. An atheist disparaged his remarks by calling him a Nazi. Aside from the obvious genetic and ad hominem fallacies, this attack was illustrated the disinformation that has been carried out by secularists for many years about him. Dr. Wernher von Braun image credit: NASA / Marshall Space Flight Center (Usage does not imply endorsement of site contents) This rocket scientist worked under duress for the Nazis, desiring only the peaceful exploration of space. He and his team sought out the Americans after the war and willingly surrendered to them. Eventually, he became an important and respected figure at NASA and worked on the Apollo program. At that time, he became a Christian and a creationist, rejecting the one-sided teaching of evolution in schools. Naturally, atheists and evolutionists seek to put him in a

Your Tax Dollars Funding NASA Evolutionary Non-Science

Image
What determines if something can be considered a "science"? Normally, it seems that certain things need to be studied in some detail, and it becomes a science. Nowadays, something can be declared to be a science because it supports evolutionary preconceptions. The fairly young pseudoscience is getting tax money for studying something that isn't even there, but uses assumptions and hypotheses based on materialistic evolutionary ideas. I reckon that our tax money could be spent on more useful things than on bolstering anti-God ideas. Astrobiology has yet to establish that it has a subject to study, but NASA is giving millions of tax dollars to multiple teams, including SETI researchers. It’s no surprise that Astrobiology Magazine published smiling faces from 7 teams joining the NASA Astrobiology Institute (NAI) that will be receiving an average of $8 million in taxpayer funds. Here’s the stated justification: You can read the excuses (oops, sorry, it did say "

Creationists In Space

Image
NASA From some of the comments I have seen, there are anti-creationists who really would like to see creationists in space. All of us. Now. So we can stop troubling evolutionists with the facts and real science. One of the most amazing examples of atheistic bigotry and ignorance was in a comment, paraphrasing: "When you're miles above the Earth, you don't want your fate in the hands of someone that believes in fairy tales like the Bible". Not only did this guy display massive ignorance of creationist beliefs and capabilities, but seemed willingly ignorant of the fact that there are many creationist scientists. Back to my original point, creationists have indeed been in space. To cite my article and supporting links on " Atheists Can't Protest Everything ": There are  followers of Jesus who have been on space missions . What I think will be the biggest irritant of all [to atheists who protest things] is the fact that  Bibles were taken on NASA
