Benjamin Franklin and the Designer

Image
Since Benjamin Franklin was a diplomat, practitioner of science, influencer of culture, and considered very wise, it is not surprising that he is still known worldwide over 300 years after his birth. Secularists who try to rewrite American history say Ben and others were Deists. The Deist claim is mostly false , but Franklin? His views are hard to pin down, and they changed over the years. Deists typically view God as someone who wound up the universe and stepped away. That kind of thinking does not describe Ben Franklin's views. Benjamin Franklin Drawing Electricity from the Sky / Benjamin West (1816), PD Deists and theistic evolutionists I have encountered online (I believe TEs are essentially deists), typically show disdain for the authority and reliability of the Bible. Franklin took the time to examine creation and arrived at the firm conclusion that there is a Creator. Indeed, he is an example of what Paul wrote about in Romans 1:20. Also, some people have hated God because ...

Creation, Evolution, and Bipedalism

Image
The media for descent with modifications present their views as if evolution were all figured out, no questions asked. That is news to scientists, as they are continually trying to make the story of evolution make sense. One are of concern is how humans became bipedal.  Sure, apes are quadrupedal, but sometimes they walk upright for a short time. Uncomfortably. They got hip bones, we got hip bones. These things prove evolution. Wrong. Using maybe, perhaps , and Making Things Up™ , evolutionists think they have a genetic clue about hip bones. People walking in Almaty, Kazakhstan, Unsplash / Dmitrii Filatov For apes to walk upright, there would have had to be a change in the pelvis. Humans and apes supposedly diverged from an apelike creature in the distant past. (Nobody knows when or what that critter even looked like.) Many changes would need to happen at the same time, or nothing would work. There is no evidence of these alleged changes in the fossil record. Quite a bit of effort...

Mining Gold from "Junk" DNA

Image
There are lessons to be learned from the concept of "junk" DNA, including hubris, deep time, and bad assumptions. Fundamentally-flawed presuppositions play a big part. Believers in fish-to-fool evolution tend to assume naturalism and build from there. Big mistake. DNA just had  to keep evolving by chance and random processes over time. Scientists sequenced the human genome and found that almost none of it coded for proteins, therefore, it was useless leftovers from our supposed evolutionary past. This led to medical and scientific train wrecks. 1895 train photo at Wikimedia Commons ,  Papa Darwin's image is found all over the web, DNA image from  openclipart Notice that this junk DNA thing is related to dysteleology arguments. Essentially, "In my opinion, things are poorly designed, therefore, there is no Designer, only evolution." Spurious evoporn about the ear , eye , reproduction , and other areas are refuted by creationists and Intelligent Design proponents....

Biogeography Still Bothers Evolutionists

Image
In a recent discussion on Folly Road with Sherwood Tellit of the Darwin Ranch, I was informed that the evolutionary story (or "fact," as he called it) explains biogeography quite nicely. It is the study of how plants and animals migrated over the years: "How did that get there ?" Superficially, evolution may seem plausible for the migrations of organisms. When one engages the think bones and actually considers what is observed — and asks questions — then the whole thing starts to unravel. Globe from top, Pexels / NastyaSensei A problem for Darwinists is that they often insist that things like biogeography, speciation, natural selection and other things are proof of evolution. Not hardly! Biblical creationists also believe those things. Scoff all they want, but questions raised about evolutionary biogeography are have better answers in creation science Genesis Flood models! In March 2010, internationally renowned atheist Richard Dawkins addressed the Global Atheist ...

Definitely Teach Evolution to Christian Children

Image
Having been involved in presenting biblical creation science on social(ist) media for several years, there are some distressing things I have noticed. Unfortunately, it is not from atheists and theistic evolutionists, who we expect to be obstreperous. It is distressing when professing Christians act like those folks. Many Christians do not realize that we are not in it to "win" arguments, but to remove stumbling blocks so we can present the gospel message. Cute pictures with slogans get "likes" but in-depth material is ignored. Mean-spirited material gets applauded. These things ought not to be. There are parents who want to shield their children from evolution, but that is ridiculous. Kids learn things anyway — and often rebel against their parents. They will  learn about evolution whether we like it or not. Worse, it is the sanitized version that suppresses the deceit, racism, outright fraud, and more. What needs to be done is to teach them both  creation science ...
