Genetic Study Fails to Find Platypus Evolution

Image
Strange, I thought the mystery of how the duck-billed platypus evolved was settled by someone who expressed an opinion on propaganda.talk.origins long ago. No? That might explain why there has been a spate of news on this funky biofluorescent critter that defies traditional and Neo-Darwinism. Credit: Flickr / Brisbane City Council ( CC BY 2.0 ) We have a couple of articles to consider. While there is some overlap, each has material that is worth our time. DNA sequencing is interesting and useful, but when researchers presuppose particles-to-platypus evolution and have a flawed epistemology ( the study of knowledge ), they find lack of genetic information support for evolution. They also draw conclusions by using their Charles Darwin Club Secret Decoder Rings™, but dance around actual evidence. How in the world did a creature as odd as the duck-billed platypus originate? This creature lays eggs like a reptile, has venom like a reptile, spurs like a chicken, excretes milk from belly

Snow Leopards Know They Are Cool

Image
Read a tail of the snow leopard. Yes, the spelling is on purpose for a double meaning, because the critter's tail is important for balance, warmth — and food storage for lean times. It has several other fascinating features to consider. "I can't blame you for admiring me" Credit: Flickr /  Tambako The Jaguar  ( CC BY-ND 2.0 ) Y'all might want to take a field trip in the mountains to see if you can spot one (heh!), but you would have to limit your search to mountains in Central and South Asia. Snow leopards have been in Siberia, China, and Tibet (not to be confused with they mythical Tibetan Snow Lion ). They also require a huge amount of space in which to roam, which is rather surprising because they are more like overgrown housecats than their great cat cousins. The Master Engineer equipped them for survival in many ways. The chill of winter tends to evoke strong feelings. Some people embrace it joyously, while others avoid it religiously. Those who live in frigi

No Inner Core for Earth?

Image
Once again, the hands at the Darwin Ranch are mighty upset because science does not support naturalism. In this case, cosmic evolution, Earth's formation, and deep time. Rusty Swingset, the foreman out there, wonders why basic science was missed for so many years.   Credit: NASA / Dixon Rohr Researchers submitted a paper concluding that the earth's inner core should not exist. Because evolution. Reasons and stuff. Essentially, since they start with naturalistic presuppositions, and since people forgot to do important parts of the science, they cannot account for its existence. It does have a solid inner core which generates the magnetic field that protects us. It's a bit much to ask, but if they dropped the deep time stuff and believed God's Word, they would see that the world was created recently. Since the 1930s, observations of earthquake-generated seismic waves have indicated that the earth has a liquid outer core and a solid inner core. Now a team of researchers fr

Children Born Wired for Reading

Image
Unlike that unscientific arbitrary assertion of misotheists that "Children are born atheist, which is the default position", research shows that they are born theists . To make matters worse for those who have Atheism Spectrum Disorder, children are also born hardwired for reading. Credit: Unsplash / Lavi Perchik Research comparing brain fMRIs of adults and newborns indicates that the areas of the brain that process this kind of information in children are saddled up and ready to ride from the get-go. This brings to mind a remark by Dr. G. Charles Jackson said regarding the speech abilities of monkeys that they have the hardware but not the software drivers. They don't need it for their existence. Also, it gives new meaning to the expression, "Born that way". Born to read is a problem for proponents of minerals-to-mother evolution, since there is no plausible mechanism or even a need to evolve the ability to read. After all, according to their philosophies, in

Secular Dinosaur Bone Research Indicates Massive Flood

Image
Darwin's Handmaidens on teh interwebs and social(ist) media often utter words of profound wisdom: "Haw, haw! You idiots believe in that global Flood!" However, they reject the Genesis Flood despite the evidence. How do they react when secular sources indicate a massive flood? Credit: Wikimedia Commons / Nobu Tamura ( CC BY-SA 3.0 ) While some evolutionists are quick to run off at the mouth and make proclamations that are not necessarily supported by evidence, a study was conducted over 20 years on dinosaur bones. (For supposedly having joined the choir invisible 65 million years ago, I reckon that their bones shouldn't be sticking up out of the ground like that.) They were disarticulated (not joined together), the bones were sorted from heavy to light, and other details. The data clearly indicates a huge flood. Biblical creationists have seen evidence of the global Genesis Flood in many places around the world. This includes sedimentary rock formations spanning huge

Secular Science Confirming the Genesis Flood?

Image
by Cowboy Bob Sorensen  Scoffers of the Genesis Flood often ask where all the water went, and biblical creationists point out that Earth is 70 percent covered by water. Also, if the earth were completely smooth, it would be completely covered by water. But there's more. Credit: NASA / ISS 42 / Terry Virts (Usage does not imply endorsement of site contents by anyone) Something secularists detest (as do many old-earth creationists and theistic evolutionists) is that Genesis indicates the Earth was created out of water. Dr. D. Russell Humpreys based his accurate predictions of planetary fields on this. I reckon that if science contradicted creationism, we would light a shuck out of there. When materialistic assumptions and circular reasoning are stripped away, science supports creation; we have an especially good time with geology. I was spurred to write this here article because of one from 2018, " Science confirms Genesis Flood account, again ". While it is not a science

Fundamentally Flawed Ice Age Stories

Image
Like anyone else that commences to telling tall tales, secular scientists get their stories going but trap themselves. For example, they claim that Earth had five major ice ages that would have turned Earth into a snowball — with no mechanism for thawing even once! Then there are glacial striations. Gravelly Mountains image credit: USDA / Preston Keres Secularists believe that there were actually fifty (count 'em!) lesser ice ages in the Pleistocene, but each one conveniently ruined the evidence. But hey, look at the glacial striations in rocks, like them thar in the landslide on top of the Gravelly Mountains! (Also, there's tweaking the data from the ineffective Milankovitch theory .) A big problem with the so-called glacial striations is that they sure do look a lot like the results from rocks bouncing off one another. Actually, their ancient ice ages are explained by the one Ice Age and the Genesis Flood. Pleistocene sediments or geomorphological features before the last ice

Lakebed in Greenland Surprises Secular Scientists

Image
Yet another discovery does not fit the old-earth paradigm. We have seen it in many fields of science, and this time, Greenland is the culprit — just like the Bill Nye-defying canons . Scientists were surprised to find a dry lakebed under the ice. Glaciers in northwest Greenland image credit: NASA / JPL-Caltech (Usage does not imply endorsement of site contents) To use the scientific vernacular, it is hugely big. The article linked below puzzled me at first because this was discovered by an observatory. Don't those things point upward and look out yonder? But they used satellites, and various scientific disciplines were involved to study the lakebed and indications for the amount of sediment. Using biblical creation science models, the aftermath of the Genesis Flood precipitated (heh!) the conditions that caused the Ice Age. Cataclysmic flood waters carved out a lot of rock in a hurry, and these led to tremendous sedimentary deposits. Plug in the model with the Greenland data, and

Breaking News — Facebook Atheists Confess Nazism

Image
by Cowboy Bob Sorensen Edited November 11, 2022 HYDE PARK, NY — An unremarkable Page on Facebook visited by misotheists openly admitted to supporting Nazi views. " Evil People Trying to Prove Evolution " was posted in preparation for Question Evolution Day , which prompted the confession and outrage by the Page. Mostly made at PhotoFunia The retort of, "So now we're 'evil'. Thanks for showing us who you really are" was used in the Page's usual approach of sharing to ridicule, followed by ad hominems, blatant misrepresentation, outright lies, and other logical fallacies. None of the atheists who commented on the post disassociated themselves from Nazism. They were probably emboldened by the beginning of the illegitimate Biden-Harris administration's seizing of power. We contacted a Deputy US Marshal, who only identified himself as Curtis. He said that the owner of the Page is named Lori. Our intrepid reporters located Lori kissing baboons in the

Evil People Trying to Prove Evolution

Image
by Cowboy Bob Sorensen  The content of this post (and especially in the featured article below) is  both important and disturbing , so be forewarned on both counts. People want to believe they are special, and the Nazis used evolutionism, bad science, and propaganda to "prove" the Aryan "race" was superior. Background image furnished by  Why?Outreach An honest examination of evolutionary thinking reveals that it has spawned many evils, including: Medical malpractice such as  "junk" DNA  and  "vestigial" structures Communism Scientific Racism It played a major factor in  World War I Eugenics Abortion Nazi racist policies , which were not limited to the Jews,  but also Gypsies  and others As we have seen many times, many adherents of the  Darwin Death Cult® are not driven by evidence, but instead are trying to promote the atheistic naturalism narrative . (If evolutionists were indeed following the evidence, they would all be biblical creationists!

Punctuating the Crocodile Evolution

Image
Sometimes it get baffling how people persist in believing universal common descent evolution, what with all the bad science, frauds, and all. Then I remember that such pedagese exists because naturalists will believe anything rather than allow a Divine foot in the door . Consider crocodiles and punctuated equilibrium. Modified from an image at Pexels / Rutpratheep Nilpechr It's been "the trade secret of paleontology" that there are no undisputed transitional fossils. (In fact, many putative transitional forms were simply different genders, adults, juveniles, variations of the same critter.) Since Papa Darwin knew that the fossils did not support his views, he took it by faith that they would be found someday (which is not science in the least). Since there is no actual evidence for evolution, what's a Darwin devotee to do? Trade one story without evidence for another tall tale, of course! Otto Schindewolf proposed that evolution happened in bursts, so that's why

The Masterful Engineering of Trees

Image
It would be easy for someone to take trees for granted, even though we know that they give us wood products, homes for assorted critters, and produce oxygen. What is easy to overlook is how they are exquisite examples of our Creator's genius. Modified from a US Marine Corps photo by Lance Cpl. Aaron Henson (Usage does not imply endorsement of site contents by the Marines or the US Department of Defense, but my USMC brother might approve) Trees can be likened to buildings. A favorite argument of many creationists and those in the Intelligent Design movement is that a painting has a painter, a building has a builder, etc., but the extreme complexity of life is the product of atheistic naturalism and evolution. That's willful ignorance, old son, just like the absurd canard that things only appear  to be designed — which is just an opinion. "Didn't George Carlin ask why they're called build ings  when they're already built, Cowboy Bob?" I think that was him. M

Science, the Bible, and Islam

Image
Someone made a galactically vapid attack on "religion", stating that since all religions cannot be right, none of them are. Misotheists often  categorize religion as if they were all the same. We shall consider the two largest monotheistic religions regarding science and culture. Made from graphics at Openclipart When pointing out how  science thrives in the proper environment and that many of the founders of modern science were not only Christians but also biblical creationists, scoffers sometimes bring up ancient Persian astronomers and mathematicians. However, Mohammedanism is not conducive to science. (How many Islamic scientists who have contributed to society can you name?) Indeed, many things attributed to ancient Persians were actually borrowed from other cultures. For that matter, how many have contributed to culture? Their architecture is not original, and the Koran takes a dim view of music. Those who are in the performing arts are obviously not fundamentalists.

Layers of Folded Rocks

Image
We recently looked at how it is reasonable to expect to find certain things if an idea is correct, and this is borne out in the Grand Canyon in support of creation science Flood geology . We need to visit there again and examine folded rock layers. Credit: US National Park Service (usage does not imply endorsement of site contents) Believers in deep time seem to want us to believe irrational and contradictory things. Sedimentary layers are supposedly laid down gradually over hundreds of millions of years, but using the complex scientific principle of Making Things Up™, these stiff rocks folded under proper conditions. (By the way, folded is used to describe curved layers as well as those which aremore dramatically folded.) Still waiting on empirical evidence to support these unobserved events in the distant past. When the data is plugged into creation science Genesis Flood models, what is observed makes a great deal more sense. One thing the secularists have right: sedimentary rocks

Retracted Papers and Peer Review

Image
The secular peer-review process is enounced as if it were a guarantee of truth and objectivity, but these folks do not understand what is involved. Academia requires publishing, and many researchers want to promote the next big thing in science. There are serious problems in this elite club. Credit: FreeDigital I mages / Renjith Krishnan The secular science industry is beset with problems. There is a reproducibility crisis , which means that papers are submitted, reviewed, and published — but the results have not been reproduced. How valid is that paper? Researchers cite papers that are dubious, and some are even fraudulent. It was discovered that retracted papers are also used to support research. Mockers reject peer-reviewed papers by biblical creationists, but they have very different motivations by secularists and are apparently not dealing with such issues. Don't be disunderstanding me. I'm not gilding the lily and pretending there are no sidewinders pretending to be crea

The Master Design of the Human Ear

Image
When certain sidewinders say that various things around us have the "appearance" of design and imply that they are only the products of fish-to-fool evolution, they are not making scientific statements. The construction of the human ear is clearly engineered by the Master Builder. Credit: NIH / NIDCD (background color added) Usage does not imply endorsement of site contents Sound happens, disrupting the air with small cycles. When sound reaches the ear, resonance amplifies it in the canal and then things get serious. The brain makes it understandable (unless it's impossible), and we can hear someone calling, a symphony, alarms, water in a stream or ocean, and so much more. The entire process is amazingly complex, and we can defy someone who claims that it is the product of time, chance, random processes, and so on to say how the process and its specified complexity allegedly evolved. Looking at the ear and how it works, it becomes immediately obvious that there is an aw

Darwinism and the Gypsy Holocaust

Image
The trope of Gypsies traveling in wagons was rather common on television and in movies, often as comedy. They were viewed with suspicion and hostility, and some probably perpetuated their image as thieves and swindlers. However, the caricatures are inadequate. Encampment of Gypsies with Caravans , Vincent van Gogh, 1888 It is true that they had nomadic groups . Accents given to them on television seemed to be Hungarian, Romanian, and similar, but they did not originate from those areas. Gypsies are the Romani (or Roma ) people, and are a large minority in Eastern European countries even today. However, this ethnic group has a language similar to Hindi, and they probably came from India way back when. We hear about the Nazi persecution of the Jews, less about the Japanese atrocities in World War II , but not very much about the persecution and murders of many thousands of Romani people. Why pick on them? After all, Hitler didn't discuss them. It was because of Darwinian views of t

Exposing the Catastrophic Truth of the Grand Canyon

Image
It should come as no surprise that not only are rocks exposed at the Grand Canyon, but the layers as well. Geological questions are raised, so the inability of secularists to give plausible answers to what is observed exposes their faulty presuppositions as well. Coconino Sandstone (center) / Image credit: US Department of Agriculture Forestry Service (Usage does not imply endorsement of site contents) When dealing with a claim, it is often helpful to examine what would be expected if it were true. We can also ask about things that are missing. Uniformitarian (slow and gradual processes over deep time) geology has many holes in the stories told about what is observed.  If Genesis Flood geology models are true, there are certain things we would expect to find, and creationists have to deal with holes in the theories as well. However, Flood geology is far more plausible in describing observed evidence in the Grand Canyon. As you look across Grand Canyon, observe the layers on both walls.

Dinosaur Soft Tissues, the Age of the Earth, and Microscopy

Image
People familiar with The Question Evolution Project on Facebook should remember podcasts we posted of Dr. Ben Scripture of Scripture on Creation . (In fact, they interviewed me , and one of our topicss was Question Evolution Day .) Dr. Scripture contacted me with exciting news from his interview with Dr. Mark Armitage. File photo of Dr. Scripture (left), YouTube screenshot of Mark Armitage (right) We have two items of interest about how microscopy is not conducive to universal common descent evolution, the second of which will appear below. The one I like best is first. Mark Armitage is a bad man according to believers in molecules-to-microscopist evolution as well as proponents of an old earth. His crime? Having an article published in the peer-reviewed scientific journal  Acta Histochemica with Dr. Kevin Anderson about soft tissues in a Triceratops horn in 2012. Dr. Armitage had a successful job at the biological imaging facility at California State University, Northridge. The pr

Eugenics, Abortion, and Down Syndrome

Image
As many know, eugenics  (meaning "well born") is a method of deciding who is fit for life. It is based on Darwinian ideas and political climate. It fell out of favor in the US when the Nazis took it to its logical conclusion, but is returning and being used to eliminate Down Syndrome. Donald Trump and Mike Pence with guests on World Down Syndrome Day, 2019 Credit: Flickr / The White House / Tia Dufour Of course, when I say "eliminate" Down Syndrome (sometimes called Down's Syndrome), I mean that prenatal tests determining the condition result in abortion. Cold-hearted Iceland proudly proclaims that there is almost no Down Syndrome there, but that's because the children were murdered . (Interestingly, Poland has gone the other direction .) My shameful distant cousins in Denmark are about as bad as Iceland. I am convinced that a big reason that the formerly United States is under divine judgment is because of the millions of abortions that are performed. Many
