Still no Population III Stars for the Big Bang

Image
A popular internet saying among folks who reject the Big Bang is, "In the beginning, there was nothing. Which exploded." While some supporters downplay the explosion which supposedly began everything,  they affirm the Frankensteined-in cosmic inflation — which is not even a hypothesis . After the secular miracle of the Big Bang, the universe rapidly expanded and stars formed. These were primarily hydrogen and helium. Stars grew old, blew up, scattered debris, formulated the other elements, and all that good stuff. Those first stars formed are called population III. Zamani ( CC BY 4.0 ) Just as there is no evidence for the existence of the Oort cloud as a source of long-term comets, there is no evidence of population III stars of the early universe. But the secular science industry requires these things in their cosmic evolution narratives. Interesting that cosmologists g...

Fishes and Plants Survived the Genesis Flood

Image
Biblical creationists believe what the Bible says about creation, which includes how the earth is young. The global Genesis Flood has many attributes that secularists avoid or try to explain away. Many times, questions are asked in bad faith; they think will destroy the belief system of creationists. Some of those questions resonate with Christians as well because they have wondered the same thing — but they genuinely want to know the answers. One of these is about how plants and fishes survived the Genesis Flood, since saltiness levels would have changed. NOAA Fisheries image of two sturgeons Keep in mind that people are starting from current knowledge about the world, but there are facts about the antediluvian world for which we can only speculate. Even so, there are characteristics of living plants and animals that can be examined and reach some possibly surprising answers. Hot Evolution, Salamander in the City

Image
Once again, a comment was made on a post doubting evolution with another claim that "evolution has been seen to occur." Uh huh. With the disingenuous elasticity of definitions, any variation that is seen  is called evolution, as is speciation — the latter is something creationists agree with. Fire salamanders were used as an example of evolution in action. Centuries ago, walls were built around religious buildings. These lizards could not climb the walls, so they were separated from their pals. Each group evolved in its own way. Fire salamander ( Salamandra salamandra ), WikiComm / Petar MiloÅ¡ević ( CC BY-SA 4.0 ) Of course, the owlhoot making the remark ignored the fact that they didn't change into something else. They remained fire salamanders. The idea was taken further that building cities changes evolution. The additional claim that religion and cultural practices cause evolution is...truly bizarre. The Master Engineer designed organisms to adapt. Evolution is not a...

Myth of the Age of Reptiles

Image
Way back in 1947,  Rudolph Zallinger completed a five-year project . He painted a huge mural called  The Age of Reptiles  that can be seen Yale Peabody Museum. It garnered awards, and a section was used on a  US postage stamp in 1970  (Scott catalog 1390). Scientific views of dinosaurs have changed, so some depictions are now inaccurate. Unfortunately, his work was based on a myth promoted by atheists and other minerals-to-Megalosaurus evolutionists. The so-called Age of Reptiles is a myth to help bolster the greater myth of evolution. Tyrannosaurus rex  toy figure, Pixabay /  Eric Labayle Biblical creationists reject the Age of Reptiles on theological grounds, but this is not just a simplistic reaction. It is based on the study of biblical texts and logic. Something else to consider was how Charles Lyell, a lawyer who was instrumental in establishing deep time, wanted to devalue the Bible. Not only was the myth of the Age entirely made up, ...
