Recent Creation vs Short-Term Comet Rescuing Devices

Biblical creationists have long used short-term comets as an argument against deep time, as they should no longer exist. Comets have long elliptical orbits, and when they near the sun, they light up as some of their material burns away. Astronomers figure they should only last about 20,000 years.

While that amount of time is outside recent creation models, it is far outside conventional beliefs. Also, the Nebular Hypothesis has the solar system (including comets and such) forming from a swirling gas. Many comets travel opposite of the expected direction and angle.

Short-term comets testify against deep time. Secularists use the principle of Making Things Up™ to rescue their stories, but the evidence does not help.

Secularists have used the complex scientific principle of Making Things Up™ to rescue their stories. One is the Oort Cloud, a repository of comets and such way out yonder — which has no evidence for its existence. The Kuiper Belt of icy asteroids beyond the orbit of Neptune was proposed as a source of comets. Some objects were finally discovered. Does this solve the comet longevity problem for cosmic evolution? That'll be the day! It has many problems. The most reasonable explanation is that God created the heavens and the earth just as he said.
Comets can be awe-inspiring, and the existence of short-period comets presents a problem for those who believe the earth evolved billions of years ago. What is that problem, and have evolutionists come up with a satisfactory explanation, meaning creationists should no longer use that argument?
