I commenced to gathering thoughts so I could use it as a springboard, but then asked my contacts at Creation Ministries International , who replied that they were going to respond. Here we go. There are several instances where " Denial of Evolution Is a Form of White Supremacy " by Allison Hopper agitated so many people — in addition to its glaring stupidity.  Scientific American  is known for anti-creationist hit pieces, and they let this opinion thing fly without checking the facts. Just the other day we saw a trio of articles about Tyrannosaurus rex . There has also been a spate of other articles about dinosaur bone discoveries, and the "Katie, bar the door!" bad news for deep time proponents:  DNA  and  soft tissues . Regular readers have probably noticed that not only is there a variety of subjects covered on this weblog, but the difficulty level varies. After all, different people are reading these things. We looked at the red supergiant star Betelgeuse a spell back in " Betelgeuse Befuddles Astronomers ". Like many atheopaths, it is not very stable. It is also the kind of star that could be expected to make its own big bang and go supernova. Indeed, it was showing some of the expected signs for that possibility. Then things changed. Apparently, that dimming of the star followed by its increasing brightness could be attributed to space dust, and then that stuff went away. Besides, the dust out yonder is not exactly the same kind that we deal with. That kind of dust is important to deep-time conjectures, including star and planet formation. It may come as a shock to some people, but there are absolutes in the universe. Think about them: moral standards, people can think logically, do math and science, and so on. Because of a risible and self-refuting trend that truth is subjective, Francis Schaeffer coined the term true truth , meaning truth that was absolute. The idea that there is no ultimate or absolute truth fits in quite nicely with Darwinism, atheism, Marxism, and other false salvation philosophies. We have items that make reference to Tyrannosaurus rex , some more direct than others. It seems that it is increasingly frequent that the attempts to bolster Darwin's fantasies involve startlingly bad research, and the logic used should be utterly appalling to thinking people. As several other creationists and I have said, we need to have healthy skepticism about claims made regarding ancient historical science. Someone who wants to appreciate nature can be overjoyed at Acadia National Park , found way up yonder in Maine.  For people who do "color tours" in the fall, it should be  quite a sight . In a way, writing science-related posts is a mite frustrating. Things become outdated quickly due to new developments. It is also exciting to be able to learn and post about those new things that come along. In some ways, however, certain discoveries do not entirely negate previous knowledge. In this case, Pluto. It was kicked out of the Planets Club in 2006 and sent to the minor leagues as a dwarf planet, or Trans-Neptunian object. (I'm still not over that.)
