Lying for Darwin on the Origin of Life

Image
On Question Evolution Day , I had some greenish soup that I called "Darwin's warm little pond." Darwin speculated to a hooker — "That was Joseph Hooker, Cowboy Bob. Pay attention!" Oh, right. He thought maybe life came from a warm little pond. Some evolutionists think it is the likely scenario for the OoL, other have far different ideas. One of the big lies from Darwin's disciples is that abiogenesis has nothing to do with evolution, but that is repeatedly shown to be false. Made at Redkid What is probably the main reason OoL is disassociated from evolution is that it cannot happen by itself , and defies many facts of science. What is probably the main reason naturalists distance themselves from the abiogenesis problem is that the logical conclusion is our Creator made it happen. (Ironically, one term for the OoL is chemical evolution .) Instead, many evolutionists want everyone to spot them that insurmountable problem so they can commence to dealing from th

Forcing Another Cold Period in the Neoproterozoic Era

Image
In this rather technical piece, it is clearly seen that some secular geologists are making a case using not only broad presuppositions, but with very little evidence as well. Biology has a taxonomy hierarchy of seven levels, geology also has divisions: Eon, era, and period. From these we get about thirty-five words to work with. The Neoproterozoic is one of three eras in the Proterozoic Eon. This supposedly lasted millions of years by secular reckoning. Certain rocks and their placement in geologic layers are used to signal the existence of ice ages. Dropstone in sediment image by James St. John at Flickr ( CC BY 2.0 ) Uniformitarian processes (slow and gradual, except when the secular narrative needs an exception) dictate that sedimentary rock layers are deposited about one layer a year. Varvites (or varved deposits ) are usually composed of fine-grained silt, but sometimes a stone is dropped from a glacier or something, rudely disrupting the layers. By assuming evolution to support

The Wet Climate of Ancient Egypt

Image
When watching movies about ancient Egypt such as The Ten Commandments , the producers naturally assumed the land was very dry like it is today. Scientists have determined, however, that the Sahara was actually a nice place that made for good swimming . Egypt, Israel, and other areas had much water. If you study on it, Israel was referred to as "a land flowing with milk and honey", metaphorically saying it was a really swell place. Those areas that people were fighting over were not just arid and sandy like today. Nile River by satellite, Nile, Jacques Descloitres , MODIS, NASA / GSFC (usage does not imply endorsement of site contents) Using some forensic science in attempt to determine what happened in the past by evidence that exists in the present, secular geologists examined pebbles on drive riverbeds. The size and position of those pebbles reveals that flowing water was present. This is in keeping with the previously mentioned wet Sahara discoveries. Of course, secularist

Detective Work on a Vile Attack

Image
by Cowboy Bob Sorensen  Sometimes we make snap judgments without considering whether or not we have sufficient information, and these can be dreadful when further material is presented (consider Proverbs 18:17 for an example). Quite often, judgments are done based on emotions instead of facts. There are times when a decision must be made instantly, such as to avoid a traffic accident. Many other times people need to stop and think things through. Sometimes we need to assemble the details and examine the facts like a detective. Pexels / cottonbro Something that detectives and real journalists have in common the the need to know who, what, where, when, why, and how . The detective attempts to determine if a case can be made regarding guilt or innocence, the journalist sees if it's fit to report (the leftists among them make up their own fake news). We can apply some sleuthing in our daily lives. This case is regarding a serious internet attack on a Christian and his church. Regular

The Heme Molecule Defies Evolution

Image
The word heme  is not something in common speech, and even sounds like a shortened name. "Herm, have you met Heme? Kat wanted to know." Most people have heard of hemoglobin  and how it makes blood red. The heme molecule itself is both dangerous but also important. On a side note, cyanides are poisons, are useful in industrial and medical applications, and trace amounts are in our foods . Darwin's acolytes speculate that it was instrumental in the origin of life. Some things can be deadly but useful. Pixabay /  Narupon Promvichai This molecule has iron and binds to a component of protein. This and other metalloproteins  play nicely with various metals, helping various processes. Our mitochondria is the power plant of our cells, and it appears that heme regulates that activity. It probably affects the ATP in cells. Like other things in our cells, heme is manufactured in the correct amounts and the release is regulated because too much causes free radicals. No, not Marxist

New Dinosaur Tracks in Wales Testify of Genesis Flood

Image
Over yonder in southern Wales near the southern end of Cardiff Bay is the seaside resort and community of Pernath. Scientist found fossilized dinosaur tracks that indicated they were walking on soft ground. It was not that some dinosaur decided to head out for a stroll on two legs in the mud, as several of these things seemed to be in a mighty big hurry. The deposited sediments had minerals that are characteristic of a marine environment, which puzzled the scientists. These tracks were from Benedicts Rock, Wales, credit: Flickr / Dr. Mary Gillham Archive  ( CC BY 2.0 ) The secularists tried to evosplain why dinosaurs would be making tracks in ocean sediments, and even used a bit of the just-so story principle. (No mention if they found fossils of the dinosaurs that made the tracks.) For that matter, there are fossils of land and marine creatures buried together all over the world. If they weren't married up with atheistic uniformitarianism, scientists might see that observed eviden

Rings of Saturn Stress Deep Time Proponents

Image
We have seen numerous times that celestial bodies have been recalcitrant to cosmic evolution and deep time beliefs. Stars, planets, all that good stuff may appear to be billions of years old, but people often get that idea because they accept the opinions of secular scientists. Space is a busy place, what with comets, asteroids, orbital motions, and unseen things such as gravity and radiation. These things affect each other as well as larger objects in the cosmos. No wonder the rings of Saturn cause consternation to naturalists. Artist's conception of Cassini and Saturn,   NASA / JPL  (useage does not imply endorsement of site contents) NASA sent Cassini up there to tool around for about thirteen years, and many interesting things were reported back about Saturn, its moons, radio emissions, rings, and more. Unfortunately for secularists, numerous things were found that refuted deep time and prompted a passel of rescuing devices. Thermal stress (such as on our moon) disrupts the ri

How Shrimp See in the Deep Blue Sea

Image
Anti-creationists are known for pseudo-intellectual posturing with dysteleology (claiming something was poorly design, so there is no God), but they use false comparisons. Clinton Richard Dawkins and others railed (out of his area of expertise) that the human eye as badly designed, and no amount of science and reason refuting such claims  will be considered by their disciples. They even compare our eyes to those of critters and criticize the Master Engineer. Because atheism. Our eyes were designed for our environment, other eyes were designed for other environments. You savvy that, pilgrim? Whiteleg shrimp image credit: NIH NLM (usage does not imply endorsement of site contents) The design of shrimp eyes is extremely intricate and irreducibly complex. The eye reflectors are comprised of nanospheres, and those are optimal for reflecting light so these critters can see in low-light conditions. Humans want to indulge in biomimetics to imitate this, but it would be a huge project requirin

Big Tigers, House Tigers

Image
Over a year after her passing, I still miss Basement Cat. Like other people, we marveled at what I call the feline machine — those amazing abilities given by the Master Engineer. Stalking, jumping, focusing on sounds, and all that good stuff. Loud noises prompt instant reactions. Domestic cats seem to think they are tigers. They do have quite a bit in common with the great cats. When angry or feral, some of those similarities become even more apparent. Biblical creationists believe all cats came from the original created kinds  in Genesis . Pixnio / Pixel-mixer Yes, we accept speciation and varieties. This is not a concession to particles-to-puma evolution, because they didn't turn into something else. Also, our Creator designed organisms to have a rich genome that allowed for variety as well as being able to survive and thrive in various environments. Understanding Special Creation

Image
by Cowboy Bob Sorensen  The title may prompt the reader to expect an article about the importance of creation science from both science and biblical standpoints, but that is not the case. For Question Evolution Day , it seemed like a good idea to go back to one of the basics. I did not practice what I preach on getting a definition nailed down. This error illustrates how we can make assumptions about word meanings, then have confusion if people do not have a meeting of the minds on terminology. Sunrise , Mikalojus Konstantinas Ciurlionis, 1904 Regular readers have known this child to emphasize how we must be careful in discussions to make sure all parties understand what is being discussed. Otherwise, there can be arguments, then shootouts in the saloon which startle the horses outside. Okay, I mean that confusion can also lead to anger. The word evolution  has several meanings, and Darwinists often conflate change, variation, speciation , and other things with particles-to-painter evo
