Eugenics, Abortion, and Down Syndrome

Image
As many know, eugenics  (meaning "well born") is a method of deciding who is fit for life. It is based on Darwinian ideas and political climate. It fell out of favor in the US when the Nazis took it to its logical conclusion, but is returning and being used to eliminate Down Syndrome. Donald Trump and Mike Pence with guests on World Down Syndrome Day, 2019 Credit: Flickr / The White House / Tia Dufour Of course, when I say "eliminate" Down Syndrome (sometimes called Down's Syndrome), I mean that prenatal tests determining the condition result in abortion. Cold-hearted Iceland proudly proclaims that there is almost no Down Syndrome there, but that's because the children were murdered . (Interestingly, Poland has gone the other direction .) My shameful distant cousins in Denmark are about as bad as Iceland. I am convinced that a big reason that the formerly United States is under divine judgment is because of the millions of abortions that are performed. Many

Evolutionist References Sherlock Holmes to Explain Dinosaur

Image
Have you ever heard of the genus Lambeosaurus ? Dinosaur enthusiasts probably know of this hadrosaur (duck-billed) hatchet-headed genus that had hollow crests, probably used for storing drinks and snacks. Found in Asia, North America and Europe — but how did one get to Africa? Credit: Wikimedia Commons / Dmitry Bogdanov ( CC BY 3.0 ) According to deep time evolutionary beliefs, Africa was surrounded by water before they supposedly evolved. This discovery was described as being out of place, and one evolutionist used a famous quote by Sherlock Holmes (A. Conan Doyle). Their scenarios fail, but creation science Genesis Flood models make sense of the discovery. Unfortunately, the lecturer did not apply that quote to the Flood explanation. That seems rather inconsistent. A new species of duck-billed dinosaur, Ajnabia odysseus , was recently unearthed in North Africa. This is the first hadrosaur-type dinosaur ever discovered on the continent of Africa, and it creates a conundrum for evolut

A Perplexing Pair of Pandas

Image
For many years, people have been familiar with the black and white giant panda. Somewhat less known is the red panda (firefox). Scientists have debated whether these belong in the bear family or the garbage panda (raccoon) family, but are sure they are related. Credits: Wikimedia Commons Giant panda by J. Patrick Fischer ( CC BY-SA 3.0 ), Red panda by Greg Hume ( CC BY-SA 3.0 ) The pagan roots of evolutionism are evident when the declining population of the giant panda is attributed to evolution giving them short shrift . Bad news, Beauregard: evolution is not an entity that makes decisions, you savvy that? Also, they did not evolve the ability to use kung fu. That has to be learned. Also, Darwin's acolytes pretend that the panda's "thumb" is an example of bad design — which is a fallacious dysteleological argument used against the Creator. They shoot themselves with their own gun, because this appendage is extremely useful for the critter; if God had wanted them t

Cretaceous Bird: Evolutionists Make Much out of Little

Image
Shades of the Nebraska Man fake news ! The hands at the Darwin Ranch, up yonder at Deception Pass, got the bit in their teeth and galloped away with news of a Cretaceous bird fossil. What did they find that was so exciting? Since I am not confident invoking Fair Use of the published image, here is a toucan. Credit: Flickr / Mathias Appel (public domain) Many evolutionists believe that dinosaurs evolved into birds, but that concept has a wagon train-full of problems that are conveniently ignored. However, birds and dinosaurs existed at the same time. What's a secularist to do? In addition to dodge, spin, parry, and other tricks, they also make up words rather than admit they have no evidence for evolution, bird or otherwise. Like the Nebraska Man fiasco, artists can imagine the entire scene without observable evidence. Whatever it takes to avoid the truth of recent creation, I suppose. The technology used to examine the fossil is impressive, though. Hints of evolution with terms l

The Pituitary Powerhouse

Image
It is never a good idea to underestimate small things. While viruses are a prime example, a very small gland keeps many important things running in your body. It is the supervisor of endocrine glands, and without it, serious conditions can develop. Credit: Wikimedia Commons, public domain image edited by Jim Thomas ( CC BY-SA 3.0 ) The pituitary is beneath the hypothalamus in both authority and its literal position. This regulates the pituitary's functions and supplies it with hormones (chemical messengers). If you study on it, the entire system is yet another example of specified complexity that time, chance, random processes, mutations, natural selection, and other Darwinian concepts can produce. We are talking about the work of the Master Engineer. Tucked away at the base of your brain, behind your sinuses, is a pea-size gland called the pituitary. People once mistakenly thought this little organ simply made mucus when your nose runs. Now it is called “the master gland” because

Anti-Creationists and Moral Duty

Image
by Cowboy Bob Sorensen Whether social media or in the secular science industry itself, atheists and other anti-creationists oppose biblical creation science on "moral grounds". While getting ready to saddle up for Question Evolution Day , we should look at the presuppositions and definitions behind their claims. The statement the misotheist (above) is paraphrased from a real comment . Science is not a person or an ideology . If you study on it, you'll see that it's a philosophical framework that uses logic (and often mathematics) to seek answers. Operational science works in the here and now, giving us medicine, space telescopes, solar cells , and the device you're using to read this article. Historical science is forensic in nature, attempting to use what is observed in the present to determined what happened in the past (see " Origin of the Terms 'Operational' and 'Historical' Science " for more about the differences). While science

Problems with Vertebrate Evolution Still Remain

Image
Some people seem to think that a new calendar year somehow makes problems from the past year go away, but that is obviously not the case. Purveyors of universal common descent evolution still have to evosplain plausible stories for problems such as the origin of vertebrates. Sea squirt image credit: USGS / Caroline Rogers A few weeks back, we talked about the ongoing insurmountable problems of the Cambrian explosion . The brief description is that many complex life forms suddenly appeared in the Cambrian layer with no evidence of evolution — much to the consternation of Papa Darwin. Indeed, invertebrates are often elected to public office. Evolutionists have attempted to find ancestors of vertebrates through various invertebrate critters such as the sea squirt. However, they still have serious problems with their timeline. The hemichordate is shoehorned in there, but it has no real relationship to fish or the sea squirt, and its phylogeny is debated. Other "ancestors" are add
