Consensus, Climate Change, and the Scientific Process

Image
As we have noticed on this site alone many times, peer review is not a guarantee of truth or even accuracy. In a like manner, scientific consensus is not a guarantee of truth or accuracy, either. Browbeating consensus skeptic is not conducive to the scientific process. Labeling someone as a "science denier" is a childish way to avoid examining legitimate objections to majority opinion, you savvy? The coming ice age — I mean, global warming — I mean, global climate change — has deep political motivations, including globalism and taxation to force people into submission. It also is based on materialistic evolutionary beliefs including deep time and that there is no sovereign God who is in control. Climate change is definitely not an established fact, old son. People indulge in groupthink and listen to yahoos like Bill Nye the Stalinist Guy (who believes in throwing "climate change dissenters" in jail ) to support their beliefs. Climate change enthusiasts wave away

Another Failed "Faint Young Sun" Explanation

Image
By insisting on deep time and naturalism, and by denying special creation, proponents of atoms-to-astronomer evolution have developed many problems for their paradigms. One that should stop them in their tracks at the onset is the faint young sun paradox . (It is a paradox because it does not fit their belief system.) Essentially, way back yonder, billions of Darwin years ago, the earth would have been too cold after the after the supposed Hadean time (think Hades , as in, "Hotter than the hubs of") to let life evolve because the sun was not strong enough to provide ample warmth.  Artist's impression of the Hadean Eon, Tim Bertelink , 2016 / Wikimedia Commons ( CC BY-SA 4.0 ) Since these owlhoots dug themselves into a hole about the age of the earth and evolution, they conjured up some excuses. Two of these are the " solar belch " speculation, as well as the solar flares guesswork. Now they have a new horse in the excuse corral. An attempt to marry up

Evolutionists Bugged by Moth Fossils

Image
Purveyors of the universal common descent idea should know their history. Papa Darwin ran his version of evolution up the flagpole even though he admitted the paucity of fossil evidence, and people saluted it anyway. He, and his subsequent followers, were hoping that evidence would be forthcoming. If you check your Charles Darwin Club Secret Decoder Ring™, you'll see that this is blind faith and not science, pilgrim. Evolutionists have a long history of trouble with moths, such as the fake news regarding the peppered moth . Continuing the tradition of wishful thinking, they studied some fossilized moths and hoped they would have some kind of evidence for their belief system. What they obtained was evidence that moths have always been moths, even after alleged millions of years. I reckon moths could be considered living fossils . With the continuing development of more precise microscopy (and some fascinating equipment), new moth fossils were analyzed. Scientists were able to d

Archaeology and Genetics Study Supports Genesis

Image
Although archaeologists and geneticists tend to get along like farmers and cattle barons in the Old West, there are times when their work can have an uneasy truce. There was an ancient group known by an unflattering name. Do the Beaker  people ring a bell? Actually, it's worse: Bell Beaker.  Although they migrated and did some conquering along the way (and displaced 90 percent of the Britons), they are known for their pottery . While pottery is important to archaeologists, it also raises questions about travel, cultural assimilation, borrowing styles, trade, and so on. Credit: Wikimedia Commons /  Thomas Ihle  ( CC BY-SA 3.0 ) Was there only one Beaker culture that did all that traveling and raising hob? There are examples of their pottery in diverse areas, and genetic research seems to support that there were two Beaker groups. While the secular study plugged in the standard ages of man from evolutionary to prop up the deep-time narrative, they did mine some important infor

Honeybee Not Sweet on Evolution

Image
We have seen the intricacies of the bee hive , and that the hexagon is the optimal shape for their building purposes.  Let's rein in a moment before proceeding. Ever stop to ponder how scientists know so much about bees and their behavior? Maybe they put tracking sensors on them — oh, wait. They do that . Gotta have steadier hands than I have to place those things a few thousand times. Looks like photo editing, but this honeybee really does have a sensor, like thousands of his pals. Credit: CSIRO  ( CC BY 3.0 ) (Usage does not imply endorsement of site contents) That image is real, this one with a solar panel on a hornet is good photo editing.  Although the link and picture about the sensors are bonuses to the main part, they do help illustrate how honeybees are complex critters. Honeybees are not sweet on evolution, as they have specified complexity. Not only in their structure, but in their behavior as well: they travel huge distances to make they honey, build the hi

Science Confirms Scripture: Males and Females are Different!

Image
It may come as a shock to some people in postmodern Western cultures, but males and females are indeed different. Most people have known this for millennia. (This cowboy is glad for the differences. Occasionally sad, but mostly glad.) Unfortunately, there are logic and science deniers who not only enable those who are mentally ill, but make a profit with " gender reassignment " surgeries and such. Mostly made at Break Your Own News God made two sexes (Gen. 1:27, Mark 10:6). That's it. His plan for marriage was one man and one woman to be joined for life. Our sex is determined before  birth through genetic and epigenetic activities, chromosomes and stuff that are far too difficult for evolutionists to explain. When we fill out medical forms, the checkbox for your sex is not simply a matter of statistics, but for medical purposes; men and women react to medications differently, for example. Sleep cycles, motor skills, and other differences are clearly evidence, despi

Abortion, Abolition, and Creation

Image
This post will have two parts, the first one is a link to an article, and second is a link to a video on an important related topic. Regular readers may have noticed my conservative approach to theology, and biblical creation science seems to attract those of us who believe the Bible without compromise. In addition, my pro-life views have been made plain here several times. Once again, it seems that biblical creationists are pro-life as a whole; I have never encountered or read a biblical creationist who approves of abortion. Credit: RGBstock / Jean Scheijen In my activities online and in the physical world, I have noticed that there are few atheists who oppose abortion. This seems contradictory. After all, they believe that this life is all we have, make the most of it, pass along your genes (according to evolutionary thinking), then push up the daisies. It seems like they would fight for life everywhere. Unfortunately, atheists generally oppose the sanctity of marriage and p

Surprising Inspirations for Biomimetics

Image
The word serendipitous sometimes refers to a happy circumstance, or simply being in the right place at the right time. Several instances of biomimetics have occurred when a creature or organism was doing what it does, and someone wanted to know, "How does it do that?", or mayhaps, "We should try to imitate this feature". Credit: Freeimages / Aleph Ozuas (cropped) I have to admit that the article linked below is something I put off. That is because I didn't want to bring up another critter that might prompt some people say, "Ewww!" In this case, the much-maligned earwig is our first example. I'll allow that this insect is rather startling in appearance, and it is a pest for some folks. No, the story about it burrowing into your ear is a prairie patty. The interesting part is the way they fold their wings like they were doing origami , but more intricate. Engineers foresee biomedical applications, spacecraft modules, and other possibilities.

Dinosaurs Had No Evolutionary Past

Image
According to universal common descent evolution, everything has a lineage. When pressed for evidence of this, secularists will present stories, speculations, museum pieces based on speculations, and a passel of vague terms. When you cross-check these things with your Charles Darwin Club Secret Decoder Ring™, the answer is, "Ain't got a clue". Credit: Pixabay / Marek Jackowski The word has been out there, as a few secular scientists have admitted that there is no fossil history for dinosaur evolution. Biblical creationists have found a few of these reluctant confessions. A more significant, recent study has announced this same fact: no evidence of dinosaur evolution. Of course, they use some rescuing devices and circular reasoning to try to escape the fact that dinosaurs were recently created and not the product of millions of years of evolution. But those they are simply using the scientific principle of Making Things Up™ to salvage their narrative. via GIPHY

See the Sawfish

Image
Have you ever seen those animated cartoons where a sawfish was on the prod and decided to use its rostrum (nose-like thing) to saw through a boat? I reckon most readers know that such a thing cannot happen, even though the rostrum is an efficient tool and even a weapon for it. Those things that look like teeth are actually modified scales, but they also have teeth in their mouths where teeth belong. Notice the resemblance to sharks? They are distant cousins, but more closely related to rays. Green sawfish image credit: Wikimedia Commons / Flavia Brandi ( CC BY-SA 2.0 ) Of course, evolutionists give these critters millions of Darwin years. Cretaceous and modern sawfish have no appreciable differences, and we are told that they both evolved from the guitarfish. As is so often the case, there is no actual evidence to support the narrative. In fact, the sawfish has amazing features given to it by the Master Designer (such as live birth instead of laying eggs) that Darwin's disci
