Sandstone at Zion National Park Supports Flood Geology

Image
Way back in 1977, The Doctor said , "The very powerful and the very stupid have one thing in common. They don't alter their views to fit the facts. They alter the facts to fit their views". (This became  a nice graphic .) While those words describe the attitudes and actions of totalitarian governments, they are also quite fitting for what we constantly see in origins and age of the earth discussions. There are numerous examples of dreadful research, omitted data, deception, and more by owlhoots who are determined to promote their naturalistic narrative. In this example, Zion National Park has itself some mighty nice sandstone going on. The official dogma is that the Navaho sandstone is the product of wind. Not hardly! If ideas don't fit what is observed or dis

Still No Evidence that Bones Evolved

Image
Believers in universal common ancestor evolution tell us that many years ago, life arose from minerals through random processes. Simple cells formed and everything became more complex through evolution. Today, we have ostriches, otters, and osteopaths among the many life forms existing today. Modern man has deemed the Creator irrelevant or nonexistent. In their paradigm, earlier life forms should be simpler, but scientist are constantly surprised to find specified complexities "earlier than thought". Well, earlier than they  thought, but that is based on presuppositions of purposeless evolution over alleged billions of years. Biblical creationists are continually vindicated by science. Pick some bones, for example. There are cells needed to make bones, and they have a great deal of

Synthetic Life Folly

Image
Operating from materialistic presuppositions, believers in descent-with-modifications evolution have attempted to create life in various ways. Although the obedient media of the secular science industry trumpets how they proved that life can happen by chance, such claims are false. In a similar way, people are all atwitter about alleged synthetic life.  Since their worldview requires life to begin as simple cells, scientists tried to make their own cells. They pattern their work from cells that already exist. It did not go well. Modified from a photograph from  PIXNIO The goal was to make the cells as minimal as possible, so they assumed that certain genes were not essential. Then they found out that those were essential after all (reminiscent of the dreadful assumptions made in the "junk" DNA fiasco ). Their final product could not exist in the wild, so to speak. Also, the synthetic cells would have to rely on existing cells for their own survivial. God is still the Creator

Legends of the Flood in the Western Hemisphere Part 2

Image
In the first part of this series , we considered Flood legends from indigenous peoples of the continental United States area. Nick Liguori is the author of this three-part series, and also the book Echoes of Ararat . He has accumulated a body of evidence about disparate peoples having fragments of Genesis Flood memories handed down by their ancestors. There are many tribes of which most people have never heard, some were isolated from each other, but they had verbal traditions. (Something I should have mentioned before is the Walam Olum, the "Red Record" , a written document of the Delaware Indians that has many surprising parallels to the biblical accounts.) Now we can venture north, out of the continental U.S. Hamasaka, a Kwakiutl chief in Tluwulahu costume with speaker's staff—Qagyuhl (principal chief) Modified from Library of Congress / Edward S. Curtis , ca. November 1914 Crossing the border into Canada, these groups are even more widely separated and had even less c

Giraffe Genome Unhelpful to Evolution

Image
It seems that anyone who has seen pictures of nature knows about the giraffe, what with the spots, iconic neck, and those knobby things on their heads. They may look cute, but their kicks can kill lions. Those necks are heavy and muscular, and they use them for fighting each other. Best keep your distance. Of course, the long neck is the giraffe's most famous feature. Lamarck told a just-so story that involved giraffes stretching for food up high, then this was passed on to succeeding generations. (For some reason, this technique never worked for other critters.) Then Charles Darwin made the long neck origin story better because he was the wisest and most brilliant scientist who ever lived. Credit: Freeimages /  Leslie van Veenhuyzen Neither Lamarck nor the Bearded Buddha gave satisfactory answers, and even raised other questions by their speculations that could not be sufficiently answered. Darwin's disciples try to tell us that giraffes have seven neck vertebrae , so do other

Evolutionary Thinking Unwanted in Medical Science

Image
by Cowboy Bob Sorensen  This is a different kind of article because it begins with a personal story. Although video recorders and cameras are ubiquitous, I think I escaped humiliation on social(ist) media. So I will humiliate myself by presenting a mental image. After doing some errands on the morning of May 17, I returned home and was not paying attention crossing the street. One foot on the curb, fine. For some reason, I did not clear the other foot and had a big fall in the spring. Credits: Freeimages / Kurhan , modified with FotoSketcher While holding the mail in one hand and a small bag with my purchases in the other, I attempted to keep my balance with some very long steps. It did not go well. I smacked into the ground and a glancing blow into a shrubbery. "Did it knock some sense into you, Cowboy Bob?" No, I didn't hit my head. Coming down the stairs of the entrance to the apartment building were two people. They were asking me if I was all right, needed to be take

Questions about Chicxulub and Dinosaur Extinction

Image
Devotees of Darwin and deep time often act like the Chicxulub impact was the only  cause of dinosaur extinction, but they are expressing the most common view and ignoring (or are unaware of) other ideas in the secular science industry — the majority view is not a guarantee of truth. In addition, there are several problems with hot Chicx that have been brought to light. It is not surprising that Christians and creationists want to know if and how the Chicxulub event contributed to dinosaur extinction. Credit:  NASA  (usage does not imply endorsement of site contents) Indeed, where does it fit with Genesis Flood models? Like their secular counterparts, creation scientists have various models and theories. When it comes to not only ancient history and forensic science, but how the Flood affected plate tectonics, climate change, landforms, the Ice Age, and more — theories are going to conflict. For example, see the highly technical discussion in " Flood impacts reinforce volcanic cool
