Responding to Dishonest Atheist Claims

Right from the get-go, I need to point out that a few things have changed since the article featured below was written in 2019. The so-called New Atheism is fading and several of its primary apologists are losing their impact. Even so, the material and principles are still useful.

One of the most obstreperous and arrogant professing atheists is Bill Nye. He makes remarks against biblical creationists and the Genesis Flood as if he has superior knowledge, but is repeatedly shown to be wrong. C. Richard Dawkins and Neil deGrasse Tyson also make false claims about us.

Bill Nye had a highly-publicized debate with Ken Ham a few years ago. He misrepresented creationists and used a passel of fallacious attacks, including equivocating evolution with science. He was claiming that creationists would not have reasoning skills and essentially saying that we brainwash our children. That's a lie, old son.

Dawkins and Tyson also misrepresent creationists. A common falsehood from atheists is that we simply say, "GodDidIt" and move on. No misotheist yet has taken my challenge to show where a creationist scientist takes that approach. Yes, creationists believe God "did it," but want to know how he did it. Ironically, Darwin's disciples essentially say, "Evolution did it," which is a science stopper.

Creationists, learn the material aside from captioned pictures and also how to spot logical fallacies. Then instead of answering fools according to their folly (being like them), we can answer fools according to their folly intelligently, so they are not wise in their own eyes (Prov. 26:4-5 NIV, Psalm 14:1 NASB)
Everywhere we turn these days, we hear that a battle is raging between worldviews. Christians are not the only ones sounding the alarm. Leading atheists and agnostics paint the same picture, using the same battle rhetoric.

But who’s really the aggressor? What started the conflict? Is the fight really necessary, and what would peace even look like?

We’ll never move forward if we talk in vague generalities. We need to know the specifics and develop a plan.
