The Purpose-Driven Darwinist

Image
It seems reasonable to assume that people who have been schooled, earned doctorates, and obtained jobs in the secular science industry would know about particles-to-paleontologist evolution would understand their own paradigm. While any area of science will have disagreements, evolutionists are as organized as ball bearings in a blender. They do not know how evolution works, forgetting that it is supposed to be blind, pitiless, and indifferent; teleology is  streng verboten . They appeal to purpose anyway. Mostly made at  PhotoFunia  (click for larger) Before we look at the misuse of the concept of evolution by those who should know better, let's take a look at how misotheists have a faulty understanding of the concept. As we have seen many times, those who are in rebellion against God will accept and repeat practically any platitude that seems to support their views. For example, a vehement misotheist who not only hates God, but is a bigot against Christians (especially biblical c

Darwinian Terrorism and False Gods

Image
by Cowboy Bob Sorensen  Today is September 11. Many of us remember the cowardly Islamic terrorist attacks that happened twenty years ago. This article is not intended to diminish the horror and sadness of that time, but will point out that those who serve false gods have committed acts of terror in totalitarian regimes. I was working in the receiving area of a large office supply store when someone came to us from the front area. He told us about the planes crashing into the towers and Pentagon, and said that we are at war. Mostly made at PhotoFunia , cropped This jasper had a weird sense of humor and I thought it was a sick joke. When I realized he wasn't kidding, I hurried to the nearest computer and went online. Pictures were not good, and then the internet was frozen for us. I couldn't grasp the enormity of the World Trade Center, and the fact that the Pentagon was hit alarmed me. Later, people watched far too much television. I was worried about my girl getting to wrapped

Why Atheists and Old Earthers Fear the Genesis Flood

Image
by Cowboy Bob Sorensen  Many times, biblical creationists will post something about the Genesis Flood, then professing atheists get all fired up. Professing Christians who believe in an old Earth (especially theistic evolutionists) often saddle up and with misotheists against creationists. Their antics are vexatious. Often, self-appointed defenders of materialistic science comment on social(ist) media with personal insults, attacks on God and the Bible, etc. Occasionally they will form a posse comitatus  for a trolling raid. Creation science (and especially the Flood) are threats to deep time. The Man Made Mad by Fear / Gustave Courbet, 1844 We often get remarks that science has refuted the Flood. These owlhoots often find links that supports their preconceptions, post them, and pretend that they are "gotchas" to creation science Flood geology. What is omitted is the speculative nature of uniformitarian geology as well its problems. Years ago, the Bearded Buddha himself put

Mentally Disturbed Social Darwinists

Image
by Cowboy Bob Sorensen First, a reminder that when people use the word  Darwinism today, it partly a convenience. Classical Darwinism was dying a few decades after it was set forth, but was changed and is now called the neo-Darwinian synthesis, modern evolutionary synthesis, and so on. When discussing origins, it is expected that people know what is being discussed when the words Darwinism and evolution are used.  Moving on. As shown previously, Darwinism is not just a biological theory, but a worldview. Social Darwinism  has been around almost as long as classical Darwinism, and applies survival of the fittest principles to societies. Mostly made at Atom Smasher It was popular in the last century, giving rise to eugenics , scientific racism , ruthless capitalism, and more. Karl Marx saw his economic and political views expressed in Darwinian natural selection . Take a look around at what is happening in the world today. A form of Marxism has been zombified and is walking around, co

Evolution, Atheism, and Groupthink

Image
by Cowboy Bob Sorensen  In an article about climate screams , the word groupthink was used. It sounds like something from George Orwell, but is actually a psychological phenomenon. In some ways it is like herd mentality where everyone goes in the same direction, but groupthink is more complex. Even though I've used the word and had a cursory knowledge of the concept, I wanted to get a better understanding of groupthink. I found a good article to which I will add my own thoughts, linking to it later. Credit: Unsplash / Eric Herni Conformity involves people changing their actions (and probably their thoughts as well) so they can fit in with a group, but groupthink involves the decision-making process. What do you think happens when people appeal to the consensus, whether it is evolution, climate change, or something else that is highly charged? There is an appeal to emotion. Psychologist Dr. Irving L. Janis coined the word in 1972. People go with the views of a group and practice sel

No Truth, No Science

Image
It may come as a shock to some people, but there are absolutes in the universe. Think about them: moral standards, people can think logically, do math and science, and so on. Because of a risible and self-refuting trend that truth is subjective, Francis Schaeffer coined the term true truth , meaning truth that was absolute. The idea that there is no ultimate or absolute truth fits in quite nicely with Darwinism, atheism, Marxism, and other false salvation philosophies. Atheists do not have a consistent moral standard, preferring their morality to be subjective — again, this is self-refuting . Credit: Pexels /  RF._.studio Science needs the proper environment . This precludes atheistic naturalism as well as pagan and Eastern religious views, which will not let science thrive. A number of biblically-based presuppositions are necessary for science. One of these is objective truth. If you study on it, the subjective or relative truth ideas of postmodernism make science impossible. This fit

Bad Design Claims and Human Reproduction

Image
Over at The Question Evolution Project on Fakebook, we have been posting one of the favorite giggling points of misotheists. Namely, the alleged bad design of the human eye. Such dysteleology is easily refuted with: This  series of articles by Dr. Jason Lisle  (I linked to the first, the rest are linked at the end of each subsequent article) A  video by the late Tommy Mitchell, MD The article " Backwardly wired retina 'an optimal structure': New eye discovery further demolishes Dawkins " Others However, atheists have a bumper sticker mentality: "Dawkins said it, I believe it, that settles it". (It is indeed unfortunate that people who claim to believe in science and reason reject those very things.) Then they use a faulty appeal to authority to people who have no idea what they're talking about, then use all of those things to confirm their biases. In the same way, faulty presuppositions and bad logic are used to deny God because women have miscarriages

The Religious Intolerance of Evolutionism

Image
by Cowboy Bob Sorensen  We have seen many times that not only are atheists very religious , but evolutionism is also religious in nature . Obviously, people will object to both of those facts because atheism has no deity, and evolution is "science. Atheists are frequently disingenuous. One glaring example is their redefinition of atheism as "lack of belief" instead of "believes there is no God or gods". They conveniently neglect definitions of religion  that do not involve organized worship services or a deity. Secular humanism is a deity-free religion as well, and evolution is an  ancient pagan religion  that Charles Darwin gussied up in a lab coat.  Image credit before modification: Unsplash / Kimberly Lake The idealized form of science is very different from reality. Science should be sharpened through challenges and thinking beyond the consensus, and different ideas should be evaluated. If a theory or hypothesis turns rancid, it should be thrown away inste

Extrapolation and Generalization

Image
by Cowboy Bob Sorensen  Using my new assault keyboard in the fake science resistance. This one is also unregistered. Many fallacies are closely related, and they often overlap. Sometimes it is difficult to properly identify them. I reckon it is more important to use critical thinking skills and realize when someone is dealing from the bottom of the deck than categorizing those fallacies. Generalizing Misotheists frequently use the hasty generalization fallacy to demonize Christians and creationists. This induction fallacy is used when a generalization is made from insufficient evidence. F'rinstance, atheopaths post a link to an article where members of a crackpot cult let their child die because they did not seek medical attention, and their conclusions spanned, "Christians are stupid", "Religion is evil", and some even use this to claim, "There is no God". We don't need to ride the side trail and examine each of those in depth as well as addition

Keep Pressure on Anti-Creationists

Image
by Cowboy Bob Sorensen  Many biblical creationists have encountered misotheists who act like they have amazing super powers that should make us shake in our cowboy boots. We need to stop allowing them to put us on the defensive, and use truth and reason to put the pressure on them. Credit: Flickr / zimpenfish ( CC BY 2.0 ) One of the first things that we can do is to remember that truth and logic are on our side. Indeed, logic and math are impossible without God , and the  same principle applies to science itself . We cannot argue on " neutral ground ", which is essentially admitting that what God says about the unbeliever is wrong, and let them decide in their corrupted human wisdom whether or not God is worthy of worship and honor. Are you catching on to the importance of why we must not be obsequious before scoffers? As a side note, I seldom refer to skepticism . In one sense of the word, people who are skeptical about something are willing to evaluate reasons for a clai

Kidney Evolution Ideas Fail Spectacularly

Image
When misotheists and other evolutionists deny the clear evidence of the Master Engineer's work, they are not using science. They need to know that shlooping and presenting the non-explanation of " it evolved " are intellectually dishonest. The vertebrate kidney is an amazing example of our Creator's handiwork. Credit: FreeDigitalPhotos /  Somkiat Fakmee There are people in some workplaces that are almost intimidating because they are important to the company and perform complex duties. People who have healthy kidneys may pay them no nevermind, but people who have problems with them learn mighty quickly how important they are. Not only do they perform internal cleaning, they also perform other functions — even communicating with other organs. Evolutionists make important declarations about life and origins that seem to be based more on wishful thinking than on actual science. Then real  science comes along where people learned more (and did research that their predece

Evolution Viewed as a Fairy Tale

Image
Misotheists and other anti-creationists denigrate the Bible, biblical creation science, and much more with arbitrary assertions that are irrational. Some liken them to myths and even fairy tales. We can get up on the hill for a big picture, then view evolution as a fairy tale. Oberon, Titania and Puck with Fairies Dancing , William Blake, 1786 (Darwin face added, obviously) It is not uncommon to encounter atheists who are on the prod, making risible statements such as, "The Bible was written by Bronze Age goat herders". The ignorance is stunning, but other atheopaths cheer such asinine statements. Because atheism. In reality, the Bible was written over a period of about 1,600 years by kings, a physician, shepherds, fishermen, and more. The so-called Bronze Age is considered to have run from about 3300 to 1200 BC. Although the dates are uncertain as to when Moses lived, we can go with 1,400 BC. The last books of the Bible are dated at about 90 AD. So, that "Bronze Age goa
