Engineered Internal Clocks

Image
A popular analogy for the intelligent design of everything came from William Paley. His argument from teleology was, in the short form, if you found a watch, you would logically infer that it was built for a purpose by a watchmaker. It makes sense. Credit: Unsplash / Seth Macey A clock or a watch is a good indicator of intelligence and purpose, and today, we have a passel of timepieces that are used in combination with other activities. I forgot my watch the other day (which is also a chronograph, alarm, dual time, and whatnot) and used my cell phone (which does the same things as the watch, plus internet, text messages, and I think you can use it for talking to people as well). Things get really interesting, however, when we look at internal clocks that the Master Engineer has built into organisms all the way down to the cellular level. Looks to me like we have more examples of engineered adaptability . Darwinists generally believe that external forces cause change, but

Evolutionists Get Away with Saying Ridiculous Things

Image
We expect Darwin bots to say ridiculous things on forums, social media, and so forth. They often do not understand their own mythology or the workings of science. Ironically, biblical creationists often need to correct them. When trained scientists jump the corral fence and go running off into fantasy lands, that is a bit more concerning. Darwin's Flying Monkeys© in the secular science media ignore their journalistic duties, allowing plenty of piffle to remain unchallenged. After all, they're promoting materialism and denying the Creator. Sharing a secular presuppositions somehow makes these things acceptable. You don't have to be a scientist to spot nonsense. Unfortunately, people in general are not skilled in critical thinking, and accept what "scientists say" as truth. Of course, they'll change their minds later on so many things... via GIPHY David Coppedge rounded up some of these items: Stephen Hawking knew what happened before the fictitious

Cold Blooded, Warm Blooded, and Non-Evolution

Image
In an amazing surprise, proclaimers of universal common descent evolution used circular reasoning. Just kidding, they frequently do that sort of thing. There is a huge gulf between warm- and cold-bloodedness, and the expensive word comes into play: thermoregulation. If you look closely at it, you can figure out that it means that living things can keep their body temperatures within certain boundaries. There are many various methods utilized so they do not become too cold or overheated whenever possible. Alligator and lions wanting you to pet them, both images from Pxhere Scientific literature has plenty of material about, "Boy, thermoregulation sure is a nifty thing, being helpful and all." But evolution is supposed to be without purpose, right? These jaspers often discuss why  it evolved, and that's bad medicine to fundamentalist evolutionists. Except when teleology suits their purposes. Researchers studied both fossilized and living mammals and learned about the uniq

Evolutionists Alarmed by Not-Random Mutations

Image
Atheists and evolutionists claim to rely on fish-to-fool evolution being a process that relies on chance mutations — with some intangible pressures from the environment thrown in. Except when they invoke evolution as a deity that makes choices and something evolved because or for a purpose, which is teleology. Streng verboten ! Credit: Unsplash / Jaron Nix Some evolutionists believe that the current belief in the way mutations operate is actually harmful to Darwinism. Although they will not leave their religion of evolutionism in a steamy plop on the trail where it belongs, they are seeing that adaptations are not exactly purposeless after all, and that organisms adapt. Of course, they do not want to commit the ultimate heresy and admit that organisms were designed by the Master Engineer to adapt, nosiree. Increasing numbers of evolutionists question the validity of their own theory of evolution everyone is taught in school. A recent challenge came from a paper with the intr

The Fading of the Alleged Fact of Evolution

Image
As discussed here several times before, a movement, revolution, or other large effect on a society seldom spontaneously generates. Mayhaps you have heard how something was "ahead of its time" or the world was not ready for it. Conditions were not right for that thing. Other sweeping changes occur, leaving people wondering how they took root. Slowly. Charles Darwin is treated like a brilliant scientist for creating evolution, but that is the opposite of the truth . The conditions in Victorian England were right for his conjectures, and the prominent Huxleys helped him out . Darwin caricature, 1871, Vanity Fair , modified at remove.bg At the time of Darwin and even before, people were becoming more blatantly rebellious to God and disrespectful to the Bible. (Interestingly, the only degree that Charlie earned was in theology, which lends credence to the suggestion that he lifted the biblical creation narrative and was making a naturalistic religious text!) Many factors came toge

The Purpose-Driven Darwinist

Image
It seems reasonable to assume that people who have been schooled, earned doctorates, and obtained jobs in the secular science industry would know about particles-to-paleontologist evolution would understand their own paradigm. While any area of science will have disagreements, evolutionists are as organized as ball bearings in a blender. They do not know how evolution works, forgetting that it is supposed to be blind, pitiless, and indifferent; teleology is  streng verboten . They appeal to purpose anyway. Mostly made at  PhotoFunia  (click for larger) Before we look at the misuse of the concept of evolution by those who should know better, let's take a look at how misotheists have a faulty understanding of the concept. As we have seen many times, those who are in rebellion against God will accept and repeat practically any platitude that seems to support their views. For example, a vehement misotheist who not only hates God, but is a bigot against Christians (especially biblical c

Evolutionists Making Things Up to Explain Everything — and Nothing

Image
Many evolutionary scientists have become so entrenched in their paradigm, they become fanatical in their efforts to use Darwinism as an explanation for practically everything. Their observations are filtered through their Darwin spectacles , and they "see" things that do not actually exist. They use circular reasoning to prove evolution by assuming it despite lack of evidence. An example of the scientific principle of Making Things Up ™ is when respo nd to reports of UFOs defying the laws of physics, such as sudden turns that would destroy any occupan ts, biological or mechanical. "Well, they're aliens, so they can do that". Such question-begging is based on the assumption that the UFO is of extraterrestrial origin in the first place, as well as the assumption that other life forms can survive such a thing. Evidence, please? Also, UFO enthusiasts (and other people who are just plain interested) should see Alien Intrusion . When examining fossils, there is

The Gift of Music

Image
Something that drastically separates us from animals is music. Sure, some folks say that birds sing, whales have songs, and so on, but they do not compose symphonies or write songs with melodies, choruses, harmonies, and so forth. Nor do they form bands and go on tour: "Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome The Macaques!" (and the crowd goes wild). Someone made a comment on my post, " Music is Not for Beasts ", that pets get excited by music. Yes, many animals respond  to it, but do not create it. Credit: RGBstock /  Billy Frank Alexander Music affects our emotions, leading us to melancholy, euphoria, and all sorts of things. It is especially strong in "bonding" between people, and stimulating memories. I've had some songs that I thought were powerful, but when I read the lyrics later on, I realized that the only thing the song had going for it was the music itself; "Tarot Woman" by Rainbow is musically exciting, but lyrically dreadful

Imagining the Evolution of the Human Skeleton

Image
There are people who believe that scientists gather evidence, follow where it leads, and reach conclusions. Such an idea removes the human element and neglects that they form ideas and see if they can find evidence to supports them. Scientists do have biases, opinions, presuppositions, avarice, and more because they are human. In empirical science, such things need to be kept at bay. They appear to be assets when it comes to telling human evolution stories, however. Human skeleton romance via PxHere There were many assumptions tainting the research discussed below, including how bipedal locomotion is really swell because it is efficient for travel and makes it easier for us to use tools. Those things are true, but researchers also assumed that humans are great apes and seemed to indicate that walking this way was desirable, therefore, we evolved. That's teleology (purpose), old son, and not allowed in evolutionary stories. Also in this dreadful research is the thought that a gene f

Peer Review, Star Wars, and — Rogeting?

Image
by Cowboy Bob Sorensen  Okay, so I get peer review. That's the process that seems like a good idea for scientific accuracy, but is saturated with problems. Sure, I know Star Wars, but only the first three that were released. But what's this thing called rogeting ? We had a post at The Question Evolution Project on Fazebook about peer review. Charlie Wolcott and I commented back and forth, and he mentioned that someone pranked the system with a Star Wars -themed paper [ 1 , 2 ], and the actual paper can be had as a PDF [ 3 ]. Some caught the prank, and one reviewer had fun with it [ 4 ]. The author used rogeting as well. Photo before modification: NASA (usage does not imply endorsement of site contents) At this point, I need to interrupt because of a development that occurred while this article was in process. Deciding to have a break, I went to YouTube. It suggests videos, and there was one on Agnes Moorehead, who played the part of Endora on the  Bewitched  television serie
