Draconian Darwinism Spreads Anti-Science

Image
Regular readers have caught on that science thrives when challenged, and when views are protected, it stagnates. Atheism is where science goes to die in darkness. Despite the claim to follow where the evidence leads, scientists tend to protect their beliefs. Just ask  Ignaz Semmelweis . Creation science is rejected by the secular science industry because of their precommitment to naturalism, so evidence against evolution and in favor of special creation is suppressed. Draconian measures keep bad information in the public minds. Thanks to Why?Outreach for the background image Because the secular science industry has attitudes that are actually anti-science, they promote evolution — which is harmful to medical science . Vestigial organs/structures have been redefined because those alleged leftovers from our evolutionary past have been found to be useful. There are numerous examples where evolutionary thinking harmful to medicine. Many of Darwin's acolytes are passionate about their

That Sense of Awe

Image
People are inclined to feel awe over many disparate things including music, expanses of nature, great buildings, and so on. Sometimes it can be overwhelming; I have been moved to tears by great classical pianists seeming to become one with a concerto — and showing joy in the process. People in groups seem to share a sense of unity when experiencing something awesome. Atheists may try to deny awe because it seems religious, but they feel it too. Indeed, many places in the Bible tell of people overwhelmed with awe when shown the glory of God. It seems that we are born that way. Bridal Veil Falls, Waikato, New Zealand, Flickr / Adam Campbell ( CC BY-ND 2.0 ) The concept of awe has been difficult for scientists to define. They try to study it, but it is an intangible part of humanity like consciousness or the soul . (You don't see our alleged evolutionary cousins the apes staring at the night sky in awe — it is uniquely human , and we were created to have it.) But it is human nature

Evolutionists Wasting Time and Money

Image
by Cowboy Bob Sorensen Up yonder near Deception Pass lies the Darwin Ranch, but if you go without an invite, watch out because the Winkie Guards get a mite irritable about trespassing. An exception is when the ranch hands feel generous and share the peyote with them. We have seen in numerous posts that evolutionary thinking has actually been harmful to medical science. Such thinking has been a waste of time and money in other areas of science as well (for example, see " The Absence of Alien Contact "). It is a vexation to see supposedly educated folks get paid for doing nothing useful. Modified from a photograph at  Pixnio Tinhorns like Bill Nye the Leftist Propaganda Guy and others claim that science cannot advance without evolution, but that falsehood is easily refuted. Still, they proclaim it. There is a "meme" on Fakebook at Evolution is a Lie of a game show contestant being asked, "Which branch of the sciences has Darwinian evolution advanced the most sin

Science Without Darwin: Pressure Cookers

Image
by Cowboy Bob Sorensen It was a mite busy at my place the other day, what with Ruby Slippers stopping by for a visit. Stevia Dolce, baker at the Darwin Ranch, also dropped in. While Stevia is having doubts about the stuff they promote out there by Deception Pass, she tends to believe the lie that belief in evolution is necessary for science. Bill Nye the Propaganda guy and others demand more evolution be taught and the public convinced of  its importance, else science cannot progress: Young-earth recent creation teachings are bad for science. These ideas are believed by the uninformed and by anti-creationists even though easily refuted by Dr. Raymond Damadian and others. How about the science of the pressure cooker? Pressure cooker, Flickr / Joel Solomon ( CC BY 2.0 ) Thinking back after my visitors left, I have distant memories of my mother's pressure cooker. Olive green comes to mind. This one had a pressure release valve on top that would rock back and forth, chugging to gradu

Warnings about Scientific Models

Image
There can be no doubt that models are used extensively in scientific research, a subject we have discussed before. Models have a long history in science, and many were physical, not calculations on paper (so to speak). They have limitations and can also be used for nefarious purposes. Models (like computer programming and artificial intelligence) rely on the information they are given. Climate change models are known for having a basis in using data that will further an agenda, so inconvenient information is often omitted. Similar things happen with models involving the origin of the universe, evolution, climate change, and so on. Model of Royal Aircraft Factory S.E.5, Unsplash / Matias Luge Some folks are concerned about the way modeling is conducted in the secular science industry. There are times when models are too cumbersome and better results could be obtained with less, but there are disingenuous reasons for those at times. They are useful, but not so much when they are used to

Some Evolutionists Dissatisfied with Museum Reconstructions

Image
Believers in universal common have been known to patronizingly tell creationists and other evolution doubters to go to a natural history museum and learn. What people see are exhibits with tendentious usages of evidence, displays involving artistic license, and so on. Actual science, not so much. Remember, facts do not speak for themselves, but are interpreted according to worldviews , and then presented. Secularists presuppose evolution and make that their starting point. Unfortunately, many are so convinced that it is true (despite contradictory or nonexistent evidence), they play fast and loose with their presentations. Australopithecus afarensis , WikiComm /  Wolfgang Sauber ( CC BY-SA 4.0 ) Take a look at photos of  A. afarensis  (Lucy) models as well as other illustrations. I found some where a male specimen is gazing heavenward, as if contemplating the mysteries of the universe. Another exhibit has Lucy overjoyed that Alan arrived at the museum — or is that Steve? One model has

Uncertainty in Scientific Interpretations

Image
When someone says that the facts speak for themselves , not only is that a bit of the reification fallacy, but facts need to be interpreted. This is taught in introductory creation science where it is pointed out that we all have the same facts. Science is involved, sure, but worldviews are extremely important. From the beginnings of COVID-19 through variants today, people are proclaiming facts that seemingly support differing viewpoints. People supposedly prove the vaccines cause more harm than good, others point to the efficacy of the Fauci jab. However, there is a greater principle involved here. Medical material, Pixnio / Bicanski One of the problems in the peer review process is that results in papers often cannot be replicated. Similarly, there are "facts" that have gone unchallenged for years, then someone wants to do science and discovers that those facts aren't. Some rabidly believe in Scientism  as the only means to truth. It doesn't work that way. Whether i

Dismissing Creation Science with Fake Definitions

Image
by Cowboy Bob Sorensen When I confronted Rusty Swingset, foreman at the Darwin Ranch near Deception Pass, about why they refuse to consider evidence from biblical creation science, he had a simple reply: "It is not science". I was amazed, and argued that those scientists did not get their degrees from Billy Joe's Bible Church Academy and Bait Shop. In addition, many of them work or previously worked in science professions. To dismiss them out of hand is ridiculous and even cowardly. How can they justify this attitude? Through arbitrary definitions in defense of the General Theory of Evolution. Ashokan Reservoir from Glendord Dike, Unsplash / Cowboy Bob Sorensen (modified with FotoSketcher) Some years ago, I wrote about a new "Golden Rule" where whoever controls the definitions in a debate or discussion makes the rules . People can "define" science in any way that suits their agenda. Many internet atheists I have encountered try to slap leather with cr

Beavers Offsetting Global Climate Change

Image
The secular science industry is consistent in several ways, especially when they are pursuing an agenda. With both global climate change (a darling of leftists) and particles-to-podiatrist evolution (essential to atheism), inconvenient facts are often ignored, waved off, and even suppressed. Another problem is that scientists often display arrogance and haste, making pronouncements when they should have not only considered all the data, but also have realized more would surface. A bit hairy surprise is how beavers are offsetting global warming. Beaver in water, NPS / Rocky Mountain National Park , modified at PhotoFunia  (usage does not imply endorsement) Beavers were created to be exceptional engineers. Some people consider them pests because they interfere with human plans. That may need rethinking. While they cannot completely offset global warming, they make an impact on that and on ecosystems in many ways. Especially in removing nitrates at a far greater rate than other climate de

Evolution Fast, Evolution Slow — but not Science

Image
Darwin's acolytes continually show us that, for a so-called scientific principle, evolution has no consistency. There are frequent surprises that living things evolved " earlier than thought ", but scientists make excuses. A huge reason that people are deceived is simply because of terminology. If something changes, it is evolution. Same with variation and natural selection. Fish-to-fool evolution is given credit, but that did not happen; people have been hoodwinked by a bait 'n' switch in wording. Flickr / Cowboy Bob Sorensen ( CC BY-NC-SA 2.0 ) One amazing example of terminology games played by these sidewinders is seen in calling some characteristics "primitive" and "modern" (based strictly on their evolutionary paradigm),  making a lizard into its own ancestor . A spell back, we saw how an evolutionist is happy that evolution is fracturing  (which ties into what I said above about it having no consistency). How about that stasis thing ? Th

Pterosaur Ancestor Fake News

Image
Things get interesting when scientists do sciency stuff and we hear about technology that made detailed research possible, but they spoil things by pretending to have evolutionary offerings presentable to the Bearded Buddha. A fossil from 1907 was analyzed and out popped an alleged pterosaur ancestor. You know, those winged lizards that lived at the time of dinosaurs. To quote Smudge the Cat from a previous post, " Show me the science ." The boring fossil was debated all along, but interesting new technology let researchers find bones hidden inside the rock. The pterosaur ancestor is seen through a passel of imagination and more of that evolutionary faith. Cast of Scleromochlus taylori , Flickr / Tim Evanson ( CC BY-SA 2.0 ) Reports have a wagon train-load of weasel words to build up the Just-So Story. Many assumptions stated instead of evidence, Darwinspeak presupposing evolution, and more. Russel Watchtower of the Ministry of Truth at the Darwin Ranch (over by Deception Pa

A View from an Astronaut

Image
One does not need to be a traveler in space to appreciate creation, but it helps. Several American astronauts, especially in the early days of the space program, have become more aware of the Creator.  These include  James Irwin ,  Buzz Aldrin  (who took communion on the moon),  Jack Lousma ,  Rick Husband , Jeff Williams , and others. Answers  magazine interviewed Barry Wilmore, an accomplished pilot who spent time on the International Space Station. Barry traveled on both Soyuz  and Space Shuttles.  He points out that we do not need to go up yonder to experience the Creator in our lives here and now. Barry Wilmore, ISS-41 in 2015 / NASA (usage does not imply endorsement of site contents) I'm going to stop right here for a moment and mention something that really puts a burr under my saddle: People who claim that NASA and all those other agencies are lying to cover up the "fact" that the earth is flat. They are stupid. That's right, I said it!  Anyone with a lick of

Evolutionists Not Asking the Right Questions

Image
Centuries ago, I accepted a position as a production scheduler. My knowledge of the product was nonexistent, and the machinery amazed me. My predecessor was supposed to train me, but ran off. Then my supervisor was out sick. That meant I had to get out on the floor and talk to the workers and their supervisors. The biggest problem is that I had no idea of the right questions to ask. There was no framework for my thinking. For Darwin's disciples in the secular science industry, this was the opposite of their problem. The School of Athens by Raffaello Sanzio da Urbino, 1511 There are tropes about trying to solve crimes or save lives, and the people doing the work often realize, "We're going about this the wrong way." They had to get outside their framework and consider other possibilities. Unfortunately, evolutionists are so locked into their materialistic paradigms that they cannot conduct proper scientific research or solve problems. As we have seen many times on thi

Scientific Elitism and Critical Thinking

Image
When scientists write papers or give presentations to the public, obviously they should have superior knowledge on their areas of expertise. The problem is when scientists act like they are superior to other people beyond this. People have been told to trust and follow the science in many areas such as COVID-19, global warming, evolution, and others. Many experts who are considered outsiders raise questions and present contrary evidence to their claims, and the elitist attitudes of the previous are revealed. The performance masques have slipped quite a bit lately. This "1889 Guy" was colorized at Playback.fm , further modified with FotoSketcher This elitism is especially evident in the secular science industry. They "know" they are right, and have also been married up with leftist political agenda. Elitists are motivated to make others agree with them. Unlike biblical creationists, for example, who do not shield people from evolutionary views but encourage critical

Creation and the Laws of Thermodynamics

Image
For some reason, Stormie Waters was not so active in prospecting. I found out why when she stopped over and brought her new boyfriend, Roland Meadows. He seems a decent sort, and while we were jawing, he suddenly asked me laws of thermodynamics. Not exactly your typical mid-afternoon conversation topic, but I tried to oblige him. He knew that scientific things work their way up from hypotheses, then theories, and if they cannot be disproved yet, they become laws. The laws of thermodynamics are very important, and support recent creation. Universe image:  NASA / ESA / M. Montes (Univ. New South Wales); gavel overlay: Clker clipart (usage does not imply endorsement of site contents by anyone) Biblical creationists know that Jesus, God the Son, is the Creator and he also upholds the universe. One way this can be seen is the uniformity of nature , where things will operate tomorrow the same way the are today. Materialists cannot account for this, nor can they account for the laws of logi

Medical Propaganda in Evolutionary Indoctrination

Image
Proponents of universal common descent are rejoicing that more people are accepting evolution, partly through having  escalated their indoctrination efforts toward children . They actively censor Intelligent Design and creation science material with the excuse that they are "religious". That is disingenuous since evolution is foundational to atheism and the religion of secular humanism: They are promoting religion in public schools . Why is it so important to secularists to present only a naturalistic view and derail the learning process? Mostly made at PhotoFunia A frequent piece of rhetoric by secularists is that evolution is essential for medicine. That is the opposite of the truth. As regular readers have seen, evolutionary thinking is harmful  to medical science . Professionals and educators find it to have no practical value and just don't want it . But that doesn't stop some tinhorns from capitalizing on the coronavirus panics , and ramping up their censorship

The Non-Science of Physics?

Image
Generally speaking, the term hard science  applies to empirical sciences that are used to observe, test, measure, and repeat things. This also means something should be verifiable. Otherwise, a hypothesis has no practical value and could be pseudoscience. Mathematics and physics get into the workings of the universe, whether the velocity of the coffee cup your cat pushed off the kitchen counter upon impacting the floor, to astronomy and such. Isaac Newton's Laws of Motion explain a great deal, then came Uncle Albert Einstein's Theory of General Relativity. String Theory 2, Flickr / parameter_bond (Public Domain) There are still may things unexplained by various areas in physics, so new ideas a proposed such as string theory, loop quantum gravity, and others. But they have no empirical evidence. In 1984, the Wendy's hamburger chain had an advertising campaign, " Where's the beef? ", stating that their food had beef, but others did not give much. The advertisem

Snowball Earth Rescues the Great Unconformity?

Image
Anti-creationists often berate biblical creationists for a "rejection of facts", and the unwillingness to change our minds. Well, we do not have an a priori  commitment to materialism. Many of the "facts" we reject are simply stories. It is common for evolutionists and the uniformitarian geologists who obediently give Darwin billions of years (so he can weave his spell) by using fake science. A just-so story is told, and when it runs into scientific trouble, it can be rescued by more bad science. Such is the case of the Great Unconformity and Snowball Earth. Combined Flickr images: Snowball Earth by  guano   and Great Unconformity by  brewbrooks  (both are  CC BY-SA 2.0 ) The stories are plausible at first glance, but are loaded expensive words, essentially blinding the public with science jargon. People who use critical thinking as well as honest scientists who are trained in the appropriate areas are not as easily fooled. Have you seen the part of Monty Python and

Amphibians Support the Genesis Flood

Image
Forensic science, such as crime scene investigation, origins, and so forth, uses observations in the present to propose models of what happened in the past. Creationists have Genesis Flood models, and the activities of amphibians after the Mt. St. Helens eruption seem to support them. Terminology can be puzzling. A volcano erupting for nine hours, raining ash and pumice, spilling out lava and mudflows, and that sort of thing is a  disturbance . When the crazy hermit on Creek Road screams at the Darwin Ranch,  that  is a disturbance, but I don't make the rules. Pacific Tree Frog, Wikimedia Commons /  The High Fin Sperm Whale  ( CC BY-SA 3.0 ) Eruptions are big deals, and can last for more than a few hours. Volcanic activity is a major factor in Genesis Flood models. Creation geologists and others pay attention when volcanoes like the one in Tonga , plus  Mt. Semeru, Mt. Pinatubo, and Icelandic volcanoes erupt. In addition, islands that have formed recently and were taking on life

Biblical Creation and Rocket Science

Image
Operational science is not something people normally associate with creation, it is something that belongs to atheists, so Christians need to stay with more spiritual or even prosaic professions. Not true. Christians and creationists are involved in many fields of science — and for good reasons. Most of the founders of modern science were Christians, and even biblical creationists. (Some atheopaths try to deny this with outrageous claims, such as those people had to pretend to be believers or be executed. When challenged, they cannot back up their claims.)  Science needs the proper environment  in order to thrive. Artist's concept of ULA Atlas V launch,  NASA  / JPL-Caltech When it comes to rocketry and space exploration,  Wernher von Braun  (a Christian who is maligned by atheists) was instrumental for American progress. In addition, he opposed evolution and naturalism. His work was for the glory of God. There have been several astronauts of note in the space program who were prof
