Creationist from Ignorance of Evolution?

Image
One of the most annoying things I found about Bill Nye the Talking Points Guy in the debate with Ken Ham was that he regurgitated "science" that creationists have addressed years, even decades, previously. (He was also condescending, but never mind about that now.) Nye also used lame arguments that have been brought up many times, and we still see them now. Atheists and evolutionists seem to dislike doing their homework, being hopelessly locked into defending their fundamentally flawed worldview. When people use the same kind of "argument" that Nye brought up about evolution being essential to science, some of us will point out that great scientists of the past were biblical creationists, Christians, theists and so on. The counter-claim is that sure, they were clever people, and they would have believed evolution if Darwin had written back in their time. Such a claim reeks of desperation. Also, they are inadvertently claiming godlike powers because they &q

Fossils in the "Wrong Place" Thwart Evolution

Image
You know that geologic column that is presented in textbooks where the simplest life forms are at the bottom and the more complex life forms are at the top? It does not exist in the real world. The truth is, the thing is fouled up beyond all recognition.  Using uniformitarian and evolutionary assumptions (as well as a generous dose of circular reasoning regarding "index fossils" that supposedly indicate the age of the layers), the orderly progression is presented as fact. It fools many people who believed their teachers who, in turn, believed their teachers. Many people will assert that the fossil record proves evolution, but that is not the case because many fossils are in the "wrong" place , so their assertions are based on misguided faith, not on actual scientific evidence. The best explanation is the global cataclysm of Noah's Flood as presented in biblical creation models. During a recent televised debate between Bill Nye and Ken Ham, Mr. Nye clai

Evolutionism, Cults, and Irrational Thinking

Image
by Cowboy Bob Sorensen If you study on it, you may realize that atheists, cultists, anti-creationists, and others have similar thinking patterns. While much of Western society tends to have an adoration for logic, numbers , science, scientists, facts, and so forth, people are prone to "thinking" with their emotions. That is, some owlhoot comes along and sounds like he knows what he's saying, possibly using expensive words, but there is still some kind of appeal to emotions. Then people end up being deceived. Other biblical creationists and I keep trying to encourage people to learn how to think rationally so they can spot logical fallacies and manipulation. Thi s can help keep deception to a minimum . Ever notice that some people can be excellent thinkers, but when it comes to certain religious matters (and especially evolutionism), they can't think straight ? Before I continue, I want to point out that there are different kinds of common ancestry evoluti

Genetics — Not a Friend of Evolution

Image
Writing this on Monday, February 3. The big debate between Ken Ham and Bill Nye the Anti-Science guy should be over. For the three-year anniversary of this site, here is some science until I get time to write about the debate. The article that I will link is in two parts, the second part is linked at the end of the first where it says "to be continued". Evolution is an ancient pagan religion. After various attempts to make it appear scientific before and during the nineteenth century, Charles Darwin managed to popularize it in 1859 and 1871. People grabbed evolution as a means to reject God while appearing scientific and intellectual. Darwin taught that natural selection was the basis of changes in species. Creationists also believe in natural selection, as it eliminates organisms that are unfit for certain environments and is scientifically verified. However, traditional Darwinism had to abandon natural selection as a means of molecules-to-man evolution. (Surprisingly, so

Interview of Raymond Damadian, Inventor of the MRI

Image
Remember how Bill Nye the Propaganda Guy insists that acceptance of molecules-to-medical doctor evolution is essential for the advancement of science? Other Darwinistas make this ridiculous remark as well, which has been refuted many times. One of the examples that Ken Ham used in his debate with Nye was Raymond Damadian, biblical creationist and inventor of the magnetic resource imaging machine. Possible image source: Answers In Genesis . Used under Fair Use provisions. Sometimes, atheopaths will say something like, "You shouldn't be using the computer because it was invented by an atheist!" To answer a fool according to his folly so he's not wise in his own eyes, we can say, "Hope you never need an MRI, because that was invented by a Christian who is a biblical creationist". Besides, the "father of the computer" was Charles Babbage , who was a Christian. Dr. Damadian was interviewed on Real Science Radio. There is some interesting pers

Piltdown Superman and 2015

by Cowboy Bob Sorensen Happy New Year! Not that I think there's anything special about changing calendars or New Year's celebrations, but it's a good time to stop and plan. Some of my readers may know that my goal is to get these written and scheduled from 3-7 days ahead of time. But that's short-term planning, I reckon this is about longer-term planning. A side note for people who like to make resolutions: Don't get carried away. If you make a big list, you'll probably get discouraged trying to do too much. If you make a big list, fine, but I suggest that you do just do a couple of resoultions. In a month or three, do a couple more. Where was I? Oh, yes. I'm back behind my unlicensed assault keyboard, bringing you evidence that refutes the fundamentally flawed evolutionary worldview, and supports the reality-based biblical creation evidence. The big attention-getting holidays are over with (including Thanksgiving for Americans), and there's no

Evolution and the New Atheo-Fascism

Image
by Cowboy Bob Sorensen A large difficulty in researching and writing this article is that of definitions. It is important to have precise definitions when people can understand words and concepts in different ways 1 , and this article involves words with various meanings and connotations. There has been a noticeable increase in vitriol from the so-called "new" atheists (often followers of Dawkins, Harris, Dennett, Hitchens, Shermer, Nye, Krauss and others) and from evolutionists toward Christians and creationists. (I am making distinctions here because not all evolutionists are atheists, and not all Christians are creationists.) Some of us speculate that adherents of the religion of atheism 2 ,which has evolution as one of its cornerstones, feel threatened because evolution's flaws are exposed by Intelligent Design and creation science. This battle is not simply intellectual, but also spiritual. From a biblical Christian perspective, atheists realize that God e

Seasoning Secular Geology at the Salt Range

Image
Betcha never heard of the Salt Range over yonder in Pakistan. Me, neither, until I read the article linked below. Although it is not expensive now, it was valuable way back in the old days. This area of plentiful salt deposits had some Darwinist geologists ready to slap leather with each other over the equivalent of Precambrian rabbits. Credit: Wikimedia Commons / Khalid Mahmood "Why did you mention Precambrian rabbits, Cowboy Bob?" Oh, you know. Evolutionists have said that if a rabbit was found in the Precambrian layer (which only exists in textbooks and imaginations, not reality), it would falsify evolution. According to their belief system, the fossil record is orderly, from simple to complex, and a rabbit would be too complex to be found in the Precambrian layer. But evolution is malleable — pliable — flexible — so it has no real explanatory value . If evolution were actual science instead of a materialistic philosophy, it would have been abandoned long ago. More Deceiving for Darwin — "It's Just a Theory"

Image
by Cowboy Bob Sorensen Retur ning fire with my unregistered assault keyboard.  The militant atheists that hole up with the hands at the Darwin Ranch (down yonder at Deception Pass) don't quite live up to the "reason" that they claim to support. Logical fallacies abound, and some of their favorites are the ever-present ad hominem, the frequent circular reasoning,  the pernicious red herring (such as " the Ark Encounter money could have been used to feed the poor "), and the ubiquitous straw man argument such as this foolishness from L. Aron "AronRa" Nelson .(Ironically, the guy next to him in this picture advocates the teaching of critical thinking, which creationists have done for years, since critical thinking refutes both atheism and evolution). We'll focus on the straw man , but don't let the horses eat him, the straw is moldy. Anti-creationists sometimes claim that our best argument against evolution is, "It's just a theo

Faith Statements of Evolutionism

Image
by Cowboy Bob Sorensen Evolutionists and atheists make statements of faith as if they were secular holy writ. Their fans adore this, and some people can be intimidated when such statements are made with confidence and authority. This is often mixed with pseudo-intellectual philosophical jargon. However, when people know the truth of what is being said, there is no cause to give heed to such assertions. Actual quote from Clinton  Richard Dawkins,  The Blind Watchmaker , 1996, page 1 Have you noticed that people tend to pay attention when someone speaks with confidence and authority? Imagine this: A crisis situation, and someone who is not in uniform takes charge of the situation. Even though that person is a stranger to everyone else, they often follow instructions. Of course, if someone toting a badge shows up, that's  the one most likely to be obeyed. People who are popular and make strong statements get attention and often get adoration. (Why people care about the opi
